The strap looks some kind of familiar... saw one closely alike during my Saturday visit... on another guys wrist which he pairs it with a Steinhart dial "A" Flieger, and he claims his is gotten thru ebay purchase from another seller from HK.

Re: K2 Thread
Hi all,

I'm new to the forum and please forgive me and remove this if this is not posted at the right section.

I understand that K2 is one of the main go-to places for watch tinkering and what not.

I would like to clarify with fellow forum members here if K2 has done or is able to do a routine watch servicing and as well as a water resistance check.

The watch model in question is a vintage 6309 and a 6306.

I have dropped a mail and inquired at Seiko SG @ Thongsia and the response given is that the watch parts have discontinued 15 years ago and they are unable to perform the service.

- how much and how long would it take for such a service rendered at K2?

- any forum members have any good leads/experiences with any other shops etc to recommend me to send my watch to?

Thank you all in advance!
Re: K2 Thread
K2 still services 6309 and 6306 diver watches. I sent my 6309 for servicing and Mr Goh did a great job.
Re: K2 Thread
Someone just drop his 6306 for service at k2 today. That u?
Re: K2 Thread
@TheChef

How long did the whole process take and how much did it cost if u could be so kind to provide me with the details that would be great.

Also, does he provide water resistance test?

Thanks so much in advance man!

@tekong

No man. Haven went down yet. Seeking some clarifications from members here first.

Cost is subjective, so I shall not reveal. Some said it depends on how hansum you are. It took Mr Goh only one week to service my 6309. Great job.
Re: K2 Thread
The more hamsum u r, more cheap it will be ...
Re: K2 Thread
Ah I see. Understand .

But does he provide water resistance tests for the watch?

Thanks for your responses!

No water resistance test. Actually, any watch that has been serviced can no longer be certified water resistant to its original specs.
Re: K2 Thread
Mr Goh got a Grand Seiko SBGR055 for sale. Check it out folks.

I'm the one with a cam hung around my neck, lol.

There's a guy who came and Mr Got passed him a bunch of I think either watches or straps.

Another guy came with a yobokies Sardine shroud.

Which are 1 you, own up, haha.

Sorry for the typos..am using auto correction.

I thought the only tunas were the SBBN series with the 7C46 and 8L35 and Spring Drive with 300m to 1,000m WR( not counting the older generations which I know nothing about)

Then when Seiko came out with the smaller plastic shrouded divers with 4Rxx movements some called them mini tunas and some preferred to call them sardines.

The Kinetc GMT divers have a completely different case shape more similar to the sawtooth so they can't really be called a mini tuna or sardine.

And now we have the monsters with metal tuna like shrouds. So what will they be called? Mini monster tuna? Monster sardines?
