Sorry, newbie question. Does K2 replace crystal? I have a very old seiko kinetic with scratches, a gift from my wife, I like to restore it. Roughly how much would it cost?

Sorry not very good at looking at pictures. The peice u have is the 005?
I saw one at K2 last week. Very very good condition. Limited number in the 400s. If that is the piece then I really congratulate u on a fine acquisition. One of the best condition pieces I have seen..ahem not that I have seen a lot. In any case wear it in good health. Main thing is u like it! Cheers. :D

Hi,
Sent in my Omega SMP 2531.80 to K2 to service and took it back in slightly over a week.
Tested it against my G-shock timing and the SMP seemed to deviate further over the next few days. Initially running fast by 4s after 8 to 9 hrs and now after 3 days, it is faster by almost 12s! Have been wearing it everyday since I got it back on Tue. This watch is almost 10 years old already but is this a good reason for it to run so far off even after servicing?
I asked Mr Goh when taking the watch from him how is it running now, he said it's about '10s'. I replied that should it be chronometer spec? He said that it's still a ETA, and he already try his best.
In fact, when I first bought my watch last year and tested it, it seemed to at least keep tighter timing for the week I was testing it.
:shock:
If 12s over 3 days it's within COSC specs (-4/+6). If more than +6s per day then something is wrong.

I was at K2 on Saturday changing batteries for my watch and saw Mr Goh take it out and show a customer. Not sure if it was he who eventually bought it but that was quick!

Yes... when it comes to J set, it don't applies to all from TS, especially "new" models like the above S.E.
Your picture shows a MIJ piece, and it's new... quite "a little" uncommon. What I've notice so far, it seems only the PRESAGE range of autos gets MIJ from TS... as well as some "hot" common ones like SKX007~011.
