there should be other perpetuals

but imo, seiko do not really have nice dress perpetuals

too plain for my likings ;)

How about other brands?

I do like the shape of the Citizen Atessa ATV53-2834.

I like the streamlined buttons and crown on the right-side of the case.

The big hands look GREAT.

Just remove the subdials, and I want the LCDs to simply show DAY and DATE (I don't really need MONTH).[/quote]

haha, not really a fan of ana-digi & integrated bracelets if i have a choice ;)

i can be very chin chai when I am hooting impulse but at the same time I can be very particular on certain requirements if I'm really serious

Hi all, Steven here. Always been a Seiko fan but quite turn off by the easily scratch glass. Fall in love again when I find out the availability of third party sapphire glass for the popular diver watch.

Great to be in this family

Welcome all new members!
Re: All members, please come in & introduce youselves
I started this thread as a means for new members to do a short intro on why they ;

-wanna collect

-current collections

-more about themselves

and dont expect much rojak chat here.. since we have chit chat area already..always can start a new thread if some guys like to..

also easier for us to find info about new members who introduced themselves here in this thread b4.

thanks

*this msg above not to pinpoint anyone but in general k...I am also guilty of OTing in ppl's threads but least I am controlling hence I dont post much also.

To sum it up; If newly registered members come into this thread and see its so rojak, they also will wanna join in chit chat rather than doing a good intro about themselves and their collection. then IMO this thread loses its direction riao. ;)

Hi Mark, welcome. You need 25 posts and above to use the PM function.

Sigh I have the same problem...

People are sending me PM about buying a used watch (Seiko SBQJ015 (8f56)) that I would like to sell, but I have no way to contact them...

That's an easy problem to solve right.

25 posts is not hard to meet for a genuine forum member :)

It's there to deter against one post members, joining just to sell and not contributing.

Re: All members, please come in & introduce youselves
Greetings, newbie here who just got a GS Hi-Beat 36000. My previous Seiko watches include a Seiko Limited Edition Divers Watch.

My first automatic watch was a Titoni watch when I got my first pay in 1999 and didn't buy till 2005 when I completed my part-time degree. Bought my Panerai 112 and later a Rolex Submariner, Sinn U1 and a few other simple watches... finally now a Grand Seiko :D

Hope to get a Credor, an IWC Portugese Automatic and hopefully a PP before I retire.

Looking forward to learning more about Seiko watches from all.

Re: All members, please come in & introduce youselves
Yah, love to see photos of them and probably in the flesh ;)
Re: All members, please come in & introduce youselves
Yo, came to this forum 2 days ago, met up with 6 members today! Haha I'm a watch sieow, I work for watches and very little else. I respect what Seiko has done for the mass market and there's something for every collector. I'm heading down the road of vintage dress seikos but WatchSeller's MM is just too much of an distraction. If I ever buy that watch, its his fault. :D

I spend everyday looking online and learning more about watches. Hope to learn more from you guys and grow my collection.

Current collection a Rolex Explorer and Seiko Orange Monster, probably in a few weeks a particular 300m dive watch will enter my collection

hi all...

was looking for a new watch and chanced upon the skx007 and fell in love with in.. ended up doing some bit of research on seiko & their watches (and found this forum too) and pulled the trigger on my first ''real'' watch..

very noob in terms of knowledge of watches (still reading and learning) so laojiaos here do guide along whenever i have questions :)

also fall in the ''populous age group'' heh, so i guess there'll be more to add to my collection in years to come!
