Re: All members, please come in & introduce youselves
hello all! my name is Jeremy

just recently got interested in watches (was interested in the past but never really got into it)

my first watch that i bought for myself was a Citizen Perpetual Calendar (BL8000-03A) and now i'm looking to get a Seiko Monster (damn all the new monsters look good  )

also recently i went around trying watches (managed to try the GS Divers/Marine Master 300 etc.) and i must say, pictures and the real thing is worlds apart..
Re: All members, please come in & introduce youselves
New to here after being introduced to vintage seiko watches by a colleague. Gonna land myself a tuna soon, but also looking for a 6309-7040
Re: All members, please come in & introduce youselves
Hello all! Been lurking ard the forum for quite sometime and hv decided to make my first post.

My first ever seiko is the skx007.. love that its really2 versatile.

Now im just torn apart between the old OM and the new OM. :(
Re: All members, please come in & introduce youselves
Hi all,

Only recently i caught on the horo bug... always loved the Seiko as they have served me well.

As mentioned in another thread, i was minding my own things surfing a Motorcycle Forum and i chanced upon an Ad selling a Vintage Seiko.

Lo and Behold.... in the past 2 months since i suay suay chanced on that Ad. I dived head first.... and acquired 9 Seikos!!!

I am learning a lot along the way and looking forward to starting this network to complete my small collection. Learn new tips and tricks so all you SIFUs.... do help me along the way.

I have my eye on a few watches currently and will work towards acquiring them for my satisfaction.

Well, apart from Seiko Watches... i love Motorcycling and in particular touring, so if anyone here likes a buddy to head up North. Do let me know. I would love to join.

Re: All members, please come in & introduce youselves
Hi guys, new member here..

Looking to learn more about seiko models.. Interested in models like sumo/Sawtooth/FFF/sinn/tuna/bullhead

Started with the 007.. Now looking to buy more to rotate them..
Re: All members, please come in & introduce youselves
Hello..well my WIS journey kind of started when I was trying on a Tissot Visodate at Mustafa sometime last year. I was really impressed by it but the price tag was a bit high for a non wis person like me. And then, a while later, I saw the Orient Bambino at Tek Ka Market, one of the watch shop above the wet market.

So with a bit of research, I visited BIg TIme for my first "real" watch in Dec last year. Later in the same month I bought another watch, which to me is highly unusual.

I got to know the MM300 when I joined this forum, how can someone miss this when the word "MM300" is repeated so many times around here, lol.

Naturally, the MM300 becomes my holy grail. But alas, my (2) applications to buy the watch was rejected by my CO.

It's ok, the day will come!

Welcome John! And congrats on a great score on a J model! I am guessing i know who you got the watch from and if i think i know who this seller is. You probably got yourself a good deal on a very TLC'd watch. I would have gone for this piece myself!!

Once again..... a good score!

Personally, i am new to this forum as well.

Thank for the warm welcome fir_chan bro. Yes, got it from SC bros who own a very stunning figure of 100 plus watches in his collection. A very nice seller and collector that can meet the price without second thought.

Hi guys... I'm a newbie here. In love with seiko since young and is reigniting the love for it. I don't have any watch collection yet but have gotten my 1st seiko monster. Thinking of collecting the various monster and found a few forums to have good info and advice particularly this one.

But I have an obstacle where my post are awaiting approval and that PM sent to me are not authorised for me to read... Tried to contact the moderator but can't seem to find any link to PM them. I hope the moderator will assist me in this. Thank k you
Re: New member
usually approving posts from Mods are quick, unlike some forum which requires 24hrs or so.

there is a minimum 10 postcounts for new members, you are just a few more posts to accomplish that criteria :)

there is a 'PM' icon under each person's avator.

Just click on it & you'll be able to PM any party.
Re: All members, please come in & introduce youselves

Hi Folks..

Has been wearing digital watches since my secondary school days. Three weeks ago, bought my first BabyTuna, SRP227J1.

Am loving it every seconds, can't let it off from my wrist, I may not understand the works of these watches, the terminologies, the maintenance but am here to learn. Never too late to learn.

Thanks.

Re: All members, please come in & introduce youselves
Hello everyone,

my name is Phil and I was recommended to this fantastic forum by Lunarin79, whom I got to know over at a denim/leather-crafting forum.

I am relatively new to mechanical wristwatches, even though I have been wearing a Seiko 5 for some number of years.

It was only recently that I begun to truly appreciate the intricacies, nuances and storied history of wristwatches.

In hindsight, I am hardly surprised with my new found fondness for watches.

My other interests are film cameras and darkroom printing. I shoot all formats from 35mm to 8x10.

So this comes as quite the natural progression. Like watches, cameras of yesteryear have great history and are also mechanical marvels.

Be it watches or cameras, there is just this irresistible old world charm of craftsmanship and ingenuity.

When people took great pride in their work and every piece is a labour of love.

Well, thank you guys for having me!

I hope to participate and learn as much as I possibly can from all you passionate individuals here!

Good morning all, I have been collecting Seiko's since the 80's, it includes 1xmilitary RAF issued(Gen2), 1xD'cube, 1xFlighmaster Chronograph(which is lost!) , 1xDiver(in dark Olive Green, gave it to my grandad, which he had used till he passed away) , and coming is the Seiko 5 SNXF07K1 :) , thats my humble collection, anyway i am from Brunei.
