I have shifted my collection focus into vintage mechanical and auto handwindable watches. Be it Jap/Swiss, I am newly into divers/military related/chronographs etc.

started interest in horology since 2009 with my 1st Seiko Automatic, the iconic Monsters (Black & Orange). been hooked to automatic divers ever since.

anyway i'm under the same nick @ HWZ, into both tool and dress watches, be it jap, german, or swiss. basically into watches which i'll wear, not those buy-and-put-in-safe watches....



next target's a MM300 or emperor tuna.

Hi I'm roo7 and I'm a watch addict.



Started pretty late on watches, I went watchless from sec to poly to ns and first few yrs of my working life.



Wife, then gf was crazy over watches, especially big ones, so she got me a fossil.



It lasted for a while, before I got my first automatic, a Russian, Vostok Europe. Then it all started.



I collected mainly vintage now, Japanese, Swiss and Russians.

TS of former hwz official Seiko Club. Started collecting Seikos 3-4 yrs ago but at that point of time, I was still not a 'serious' collector, only until late 2008 then I began to focus on specific Seikos, mainly discon vintages dress watch, vintage divers & vintage 6138 chronographs.



During that time, WUS & sctf were the only 2 main forums which had sub Seiko forum & it was a bit not shiok to talk to ang mors, have to type proper English, very sian



Hence I decided to create a local forum in HWZ & the rest is history, close to 2 years since I started Seiko Club & it's growing strong in with fellow local Seiko lovers!



Thanks to roo di di for our forum & have a pleasant stay here :mrgreen:

Hi everybody,

Watchlooker here, been wearing watch since a small kid but seriously into collecting is around 1990.



Start with swiss vintages, followed by G-shock and Swatch as they were the fave back then. Mostly into divers and chronograph but open to others.....

Hi All,



big-e-294 here.

i caught the watch bug in 2007, when i bid for an 1970s automatic vintage Oris.

After some research, i started getting into the Seiko time pieces.

My main focus are Seiko JDMs, and i currenly have about 14 watches in my collection - a couple vintages, a few discon JDMs and a some current pieces.



2 years back, i also tried my hands at modding, and to date have done about 5 mod pieces. :mrgreen:

My grail is a 16610LV..... sigh feel the heart sibeh pain to spend over 8k on a watch, well, never say never right! keke

Yo people, I was the type of person who uses handphone check time till late Nov 2009, when my grandad passed away...then I realised a watch brings more than knowing time, a watch brings memories, history and more...

was wearing casio and swatch quartz till i wanted an auto for myself... took the sound advice from CEO and manyzer in 2009 and hooted 007 for my first Seiko and the ticket to join SC of course! :shock:

they have both been my good frens and ho heng dais ever since! :roll:

Hey fellow WIS,



I'm a new automatic convert after purchasing a Seiko 4R15 watch earlier this year. Currently waiting for a custom SKX009 from Yobokies and it's been almost 3 weeks! Will be sure to post pictures when it does get here (hopefully by next wed)!

Hello, madabt here. Not really a collector but Im hard on my watches so I have damaged, broken or lost a few of them which has always been a good excuse to buy new ones!

Current favourite watch thats almost always on my wrist is a SKX007.

hello everybodys, i'm Stratix, same nick over at hwz.



started looking for a watch to reward myself after my working stint before uni started, so went online to see see look look. then chanced upon the seiko thread on edmw, and got poisoned by an SKX007.



then after that, i realised that there's an orange version to this - the SKX011.



i'm a super big fan of orange stuff, so this caught my eye instantly.



bought it and started to look at the edmw thread more and more, and wah lan eh, got addicted to a tuna alot alot alot. so sold that to buy a tuna. the rest is history.



thou i regret selling that 011 a little now. :(

started with g-shock in 2006 then seiko. mostly beo. fascinated by the intricate world of horology. love the look of divers, but many are too big for me. non of the watches that i actually wear will retain value, all worn until too chui already.

Me not lurker but quite a fair bit of questions all the time.... a typical newbie in this area....

Started ogglinh at Swiss watches when i visited Swiss in 2006 but did not commit anything as I was fresh out of army.

Almost hoot a Ball, but in the end...... got a Orange Monster and never looked back since then.



Introduced to EDMW @ HWZ by big-e-294 and ... everything else is history

2011 and my hoots included a Steinhart Marine Chrono 2 :P and Seiko UFO. :P

Hopefully my collection gives a good range....



Now in consolidation period.... saving ammo for.......... :lol:

OOoooo, didn't realise got this thread. Hello, noob here. Been interested in watches since 2007 but never became serious until I saw a Daniel Wu's ad which featured the criteria watch last year. After look see, settle on a stargate then now a monster.
