Now that would be interesting.... wasn't it the SG distro who complained about Kevin from Seagull USA selling the M199s for $400 so now he can't even list them? :roll: And I had been strongly thinking of purchasing one around then too...

Ya but still more affordable than a Doxa if you want to compare.



I put them in the same league. Old diving watch companies with new releases.



For a GMT, the more affordable choice will be from steinhart.



Even Seiko don't have an affordable GMT diver, closest is the SD600.

Went to PPC earlier. Only saw alot of those m172 retrograde movement watches. No sight of any watch with moonphase chrono. Maybe brudder Chriscentro sighting was sometime back?

HMT has some nice pieces.. also to note, it's "in-house" movt like Seiko, like Vostok. If I remember correctly, they were based upon a Miyota movt.

Quality is hit and miss.

I bought 4 pieces of HMT Sona for myself and family. 1 piece broke when the crown and stem dropped out, another is still working but the hour hand sometimes is slightly out of alignment.



Only 2 without problems out of 4.

Not all ley... just one shop... the one next to watson? or guardian?

Anyway, that's the one lah. They also carries Maurice Lacroix, TISSOT, LUMINOX, BALL as well as ORIS. But i don't think the brands are under offer, still... can try to check with them lor...
