Huh? Heavy spender? No la. They sell mostly to normal spenders. Anyways, just an FYI, gnomon gives an extra pair of original steinhart leather straps for every leather strapped steinhart purchased.

I,ll buy fm gnomon if they had stock fr wat i want. But fm steinhart otherwise. I think u know maybe. I Put a deposit at gnomon fr ocean green, waited 3 mths n still no firm date while i notice that ppl in wus were getting theirs. I even askd them how come other ppl getting whom order direct later then i placed my deposit? they said maybe these ppl ordered earlier but fm the date given by the ppl in wus, that,s nt the case. In the end, Gave up, used deposit to buy marine officer bronze during this model 2nd shipment. (you were there :) )Ordered ocean green fm steinhart n got it within 1mth+. Frankly i prefer buy fm gnomon but that experience put me off fr models nt in stock. I know is nt their fault fr delay but y other ppl getting theirs and i,m nt? If they placed order wif steinhart immediately when i put deposit with them, then y r they nt placed in the same q as direct consumers?

Infact being a ad, i would think they shud hv higher priority especially if they order in bulk? But maybe fr steinhart it,s the other way, i could be wrong. Very simply, models I wanted, gnomon did not have for whatever reason. No availability to get even with them. Might as well deal with steinhart direct. On top of that save a few red notes. (Of course if any issue comes up, then we are left on our own - risk we take)



Rogue, you are a hardcore supporter of gnomon already. It is different as the rest of us are buying only a fraction of what steinhart's you buy above other brands gnomon carries. We know you may not be the top buyer but you are up there within their VIP list so it is different for you vs. many here. Service is not the same. :)

Haha no lah. The level of service is the same. In fact if I send anything back to repair or for service, I have to take a number too. The longest I had to wait for a watch to be serviced there was 3 months!



Actually, I did not get my ovm from them. When the stock came, they refused to sell to me cos all were already allocated. However, one customer put his ovm on sale the dame day he collected from gnomon. Another customer bought it. And he offered it to me at $550 after 2 weeks of ownership. Although the piece was from them, I did not get from gnomon directly. I wanted my ennebi bronze with green dial but couldn't cos there were only 2 green dials and both we reserved and he wouldn't release them to me.



In fact, I have witnessed the arrival of many models I wanted but cos I did not pay deposit, I was not able to get them. When the racetimer's came, the first thing anders told me was, sorry, dude, e blue's taken.



To say that I have privellege is not true cos gnomon still exercise the same rules on me.



Why am I a supporter? Well, several reasons. 1 is I like to fiddle with the watches before I buy them. 2. The convenience of the warranty. 3. I do not need to be the first few to own any particular model. So I am in no rush to get the watches. Especially stein harts. So I'm okay to wait for them.

Actually, the availability is not due to gnomon's capital or fund availability. Problem is more to do with steinhart.

In short yes, especially when that the dial says 200m (same rating as a 5517 milsub) instead of the 300m the watch is capable of adds to this (caseback says 300m) .

That artic ocean bezel looks identical from those from the now defunct Debaufre Ocean 1. OEM by Grovana instead ?


Steinhart watches were all previously oem to grovana.

Anyway, emaild aramar askg for update and raised a dispute with paypal but bcos too long, they can,t refund directly, still need aramar to agree :s

This is my SANDOZ Blue family.





You can see that the SS one, dial and bezel is in bright blue. So the colors blends well.

However, if you have seen the SANDOZ 2 tone sub homage, which my picture does not shows well, the dial is some kind of darker blue... navy blue? While the bezel insert still remains as bright blue.



What draws lots of response from the the STEINHART followers @ WUS was the initial planned dial color as well as the bezel insert.

Abyway, i just think aramar made a very bad choice of not doing it with steinhart. Sme ppl will cancel due to design, some ppl will cancel due to brand, slme pple will cancel due to uncertainty. End of the day, onli aramar lose, steinhart doesn,t lose anything. Aramar shud hv stuck it out until aft this proj, now i,m worried the company may bankrupt fm all the ppl askg fr refunds. Lol

No lah... SANDOZ not made by GROVANA. Anyway... the project will still continues... and the watches will be made by GROVANA, the maker under REVUE THORMEN Group for sure. The only thing that pops into the mind on those who stays, will likely be will there be any price change? Afterall, the service charge between STEINHART and ARAMAR was fixed previously...

Thanks Jeryl for the update. For that price, I'd would not be waddling in sorrow. ETA movements are hard to come by because of supply. Steinhart has been in the game for a longer time and is seen as a supplier vs. Aramar a distributor. Ordered already, if you can afford it/spare the cash, take delivery and work from there. By no means is it cheap. And if you were buying a steinhart maybe you'd feel better. Everything is pure speculation right now(on color tone etc)



An example is the tudor blue chrono, the Basel pics were just stunning but RL pics well... Lets just say the hype looked a lot better. (IMO) so enjoy your new Pepsi Steiny!and others coming in.... ;)

I was waitg to get into the arctic ocean list but no more :) nw i,m in the refund fr my white ocean list :) lol. To me, steinhart and aramar branded is alot of diff. Is like you order rolex and got a tudor deliverd. May nt be a fair comparison but hope you see my pt :p even if they say that it,s made in the same factory, same everything but fr some reason they need to brand it under tudor with slightly diff design, end of the day, it,s still a diff watch. n to make things worse, the arctic ocean bef n aft pics so much diff. I cannot imagine the white ocean. It,s nt abt spare cash, etc. i nv hv spare cash :p everything i spend got to hv a reason, whether self imagined or nt. lol. End of the day, if it were a aramar branded all along, i wouldn,t have order it. I,ve seen aramar branded watches on their webisite, and i din,t like any of them
