OMG so damn nice...... still cant bear to part with almost 1K for this beauty leh... :(

http://mwrforum.net/forums/showthread.php?t=46714

still can find 250 GBP to 350 GBP one...still got one in SCTF for 350GBP ,just need to replace the crystal...but then again IMO only military watch collectors will go deeper into these variants(better appreciate the history, military links)... for seiko chrono collectors its another thing riao...not easy to resell even at cost also.

Re: S I C / Sharing Is Caring for Japanese Watches

Hi all,

I'm brand new here, but have lurked on WUS for years.

I don't collect watches, but am always on the lookout for a better watch.

My tastes are for practicality, readability, 24/7 wearability, accuracy, no "luxury brands".

This means:

1) quartz movement (preferably with better accuracy than "normal" quartz)

2) solar powered or >6year battery

3) "100m WR" or better

4) do not like chronograph subdials

5) "perpetual" calendar, i.e. programmed for months and leap years

6) day and date display in "windows" or via LCD. (do not like the windows that show 3 dates)

7) Not too bulky. Preferably <11mm thick, <42mm width exclude crown.

8) sapphire crystal

9) big lume on hands and hour markers, OR tritium tubes, OR electroluminescence "indiglo" (with solar power).

My current watch is a Seiko SBQJ015, photos: http://imgur.com/a/8DQ8w"http://forums.watchuseek.com/f29/fs-seiko-snq010-perp-calendar-611986.html" rel="noopener noreferrer">http://forums.watchuseek.com/f29/fs-seiko-snq010-perp-calendar-611986.html

bought this:

change strap to this, very vitamin-C:

ordered the black dial and steel hand set from Japan via Thong Sia. still prefer the black version over this screaming orange.

too much orange cannot take it
