I nt sexpert but still got hang ard a bit in MWF(military watch forum)google about original seikosha military for imperial army,navy pilot before..also never ever heard of any seiko reissue for ww2 Jap watches...thought its nothing they are proud of to make a reissue... this example looks crappy ley..

somemore use 7s26? no branding on box/seiko logo/movt details etc...authentic military watches of any era,countries will never put 'airforce's watch' on dial one... its weird to put these words there...normally it be plain military style dial or either with maker's logo(eg; seikosha,seiko) or any logo of their military units/arms...

seiko military have very simple logo like anchor for navy,yin hua/cherry blossom/sakura for kamikaze and lastly a imperial star logo for Army.

:cry: But after a google;showed seiya-san actually sold this before.... :o

Pls feedback Seiko vintage experts!!!!
no sexpert here but...think IIRC

this movement is 6105A, similar as the more common 6105B we see(just that one hack and other dont

). 6105A made till 1974 or so and replaced by 6105B.

"DAINI SEIKOSHA" would be stamped on the movt .

examples;

Thanks for the info.. But how come mr Ang 6105 is 6105A and with seikosha and the crown come with the lock words crown instead of the normal Seiko wordings on crown? Sorry for so much question... Deep poison by vintage divers so need more knowledge on it :))

bro,there are many possible reasons for this;

vintage watches with decades of use would be expected to be handled by many collectors/watchmakers hence a swop of movement to a running one is very common,afterall is still an original 6105 movement. ;)

also 6105A and B existed in an overlapping manner..so there would be the 'gray' period maybe ard 1970s or so where ppl then can still get 6105A as replacement movements for a 6105B or vice versa for later stage when 6105B is in full production.

there are at least few bros here with few 6105s in their collection and knowlegable too... so also need to wait for their inputs. ;)

AFAIK,

-6105-8000 or 6105-8009 were made from late 68 to early 70s using 6105A movement.Casing is smaller,non

'turn n lock' crown, just a simpler 'Seiko' on crown

-6105-8110 or 6105-8119 were made/full production in later period(approx early 70's or from 1974) using 6105B movement. Casing is the iconic slightly bigger style, with ;'turn n lock' crown.

but then in between till present day,swopping of the 2 movements is common.

Good reference(thanks Aiken bro)

http://www.makedostudio.com/watches/seiko-divers/#6105"petew":

The 8000 and 8009 are the same watch. Seiko just assigns a 0 or a 9 as the last digit depending upon the country that the watch was exported to. I'm not sure where the 0's vs. the 9's were destined for though. So anyway, the same goes for the 8110 and 8119. The 800X series preceded the 811X series.

There are differences between the 8000(9) and the 8110(9).

First of all there's the bezel. It's bi-directional without clicks on the 800X series. The 811X's are unidirectional with clicks. [Correction: The 811X should be "bi-directional with clicks." According to Mike/mounce, "The smaller cased 8000,8009 do not have a click ball,just friction o-ring for tension.The large case 8110,8119 have the click ball."]

The 811X's are also much larger at around 45mm vs 41mm. Some like the slightly asymetrical case design of the 811X's while others like the more conservative 800X's...

Neither of the two watches can be manually wound, but some (maybe all) of the 811X's actually hack. One really nice feature that you get with the 800X's is a signed crown. A real rarity with Seiko both vintage or contemporary.
