Bro, gd tt u refrain from any confrontation n kept ur cool.. Its to ur disadvantage shld u hav involved in a fight, as regardless who threw punches first, injuires n time wasted (police report, hospital, etc) will be inevitable.

I was walking back home after work today from the nearby bustop today when I encounter this incident.



It was around 1835hrs when I walked into my HDB carpark (henderson Crescent) from the pavement of the main road. And I was walking closely behind

a mother with her 6 to 7 yr old son(son also walking) and we were crossing the small carpark(probably 6 meters) to the HDB and noticed this white

Mercedes speeding from the round about drop-off point towards us(where he be going towards main road) and boy,the speed was the fastest that

I have ever seen within this small HDB CARPARK. Note at this point,the 3 of us were already halfway(3m) in the center of the carpark. Friends and buyers who met me in my area knows the open carpark and you have to drive slower n stop before ever turning into the main road.



But this mercs not only increase his speed(say least 30 km short dash) but also swerve his car from a safer distance at center of lane to the gap where we(the three of us)were crossing. The driver was trying to squeeze pass humans crossing the small HDB CARPARK and those parked cars of the open carpark.



For the short 100m ,he didnt not attempt to slow down but rather trying to make a quick sharp turn from the carpark out into main road which is a silly thing to do. The mother and son made a lucky escape and the car was nearly brushing against all of us. A close shave indeed. We were stunned for a while and I stood still looking at his number plate and trying to catch sight of the driver. The mother n son then walked towards the hdb but kept turning back to check out situation.



Now the funny thing happened.



The driver got out of his car with 10000 furious look and spoke in hokkien asking if I have an issue with him. (he repeated this like 50 times during out standoff at the exact spot). He is a mid 20s to mid 30s chap with short gold/blonde hair. I have try to talk reason with him and ask him if he did see the mother n son crossing and did he try even to slow down. I told him this is a small hdb road and good area why is there a need to speed that fast.



yet he kept repeatedly asking if I am nt happy with him and challenged me to punch him. He kept standing close to me ,with his face towards me,egging me to throw a punch. Obviously I aint that brainless ,knowing what sgp law can do to those who throw first punch.



He was shouting loudly.."punch me lah x many time...lai want to fight boh,come fight me!" and kept saying same shiat. I told him that we should call the police and I have witnesses (ppl walking home after work from all directions and fullview in front of a HDB) but he doesnt seem to have any reaction...probably in his own world then.



a short while later the mother came back and separated the thug n me. She told the thug that I was just helping her and pls dont fight. But the guy wasnt happy still even after I walked away. He was cursing while walking to and entering his car.He reluctantly went in his car..told me to watch out...hinting he will wallop me next time..



What puzzles me is;

-why so much rage in this young man(same as my age if not wrong).

-why so much rage esp when you nearly knocking down someone.

-is there a need to step out of your car to challenge somene to a fight.

-why he wanna speed so fast in his HDB estate( he said he live here also) as high chance he might knock down his own friends/relatives/love ones in the dark.

but aiya...if he reall staying at my area, I also dont want trouble..maybe hes my kindergarten/pri sch friend or his father know my father or know my family.



such things not worth to be angry or get into a fight. just hope that he can think abt his brute actions and change for better.
