and casebacks shots. Seiko caseback logos and fonts have signifiicant changes along the years from late 70's to 80's. Here you see the 'more beatup' non JDM 7548 has a bigger wave logo at caseback whereas the JDM one has a smaller logo. Both are early 80's model and production dates were 1 year 7 months apart. Same goes for 6309 models..

I have this rather beatup Seiko 7123 Quartz (SQ) Sports 100 watch with screw down crown n waffle dial. Bought it as a donor watch for a 7126 quartz(coil only as rest of movement/circuit not matching)...came without its original bracelet links(non Seiko?) with a Seiko Clasp(non SQ). Personalised watch for someone who once worked in Keppel Shipyard from 1969 to 1985.with wrong bracelet links (non Seiko?)

So I went thru some of my parts box and had this non working white dial ,7126 quartz (time zone synchroniser) with similar style of lug(angular cutting) and integrated bracelet with SQ clasp.

Then decided to try it out and see if I can swap the 2 bracelets and get this Seiko 7123 on a better fitting bracelet. The end results look better than I expected minus the fact that this 7126 bracelet is also very beatup.. but so be it.... =)

there isnt any crystal retainer for 7002 unlike on 7548 ,lesser parts but also means harder to remove old crystal if you do not have proper tools.. I tried using bottle caps but nothing moves..hence use the small watch hammer and break the old crystal apart.
replaced with new crystal using tradtional hand pressing method with frequent checks to maintain level. note for this model,there is a protrude groove at 12oclock of chapter ring that you can inlign perfectly with the hole on case hence preventing the chapter ring from moving about even during assembly. ;)

I have a poor man's version of this - an SKX009 on SKX171 bezel, on president bracelet. It is my designated rough-work auto watch, because I felt that the raised edges of the metal SKX171 bezel offers some protection to the face. It helps that there is also no bezel insert to scratch :mrgreen:
Is the bezel for your piece the same, i.e. raised above the crystal?

I bought this watch,the Land monster as its a discontinued and pretty eye catching watch. Having a chunky side profile,it bear resemblance to my peach monster and not to forget the overall look thats similar to the common Seiko Monster(thats where the landmonster name was derived from).
