Was at bras bash, they had a single sun019, the steel bracelet version which I like best. Sadly, it was too big for me...wears bigger than a Tuna, the lugs over hang my puny wrist. Honestly would not have bought it anyway as they are asking $820 for it, which is almost full retail.

Was it at the shop that carried a lot of new old stock seiko's? Saw the boss took out a watch from the back of the shop for someone to try. Frankly I really hate going to that shop, they pester me non stopfromthe moment I step in the shop. "What brand you looking for, what watch looking for? We have many models here, other shops don't have so many models......."

It's okay one lah... price wise... their Seiko looses out the Bencoolen, which is roughly 20mins walk away... Otherwise, I would say their price on other brands are slightly competitive nia... usually only the Specky Male boss will give discount, otherwise, all others including a XMM... pricing all fail.

Oops no wonder, I always avoid the old lady and talk to the xmm only...Thats why I get crap discount. The highest I got from the xmm for seiko was 25% to 27% like that.

Ya the aunty really jialat, even tell u this watch got how many yrs warranty that watch got how many years warranty. BUT 1 thing she never say is "we give the best discount!" Which is what all of us are waiting to hear kekekeke :lol:

Surprise find. I wonder was the Prospex Release date kind of pre-arranged? Or just simple coincidence...

If given the choice which is the one you will choose? Sun019 or sun023?

Im tempted by the sun023 which is a little more colourful but the sun019 will be a better daily wear coz SS.

Which tuna?



These were some of my tunas i used to have. Not all same size thou.





i think the kinetic gmt is 47.5mm



For tunas, 300m - 46mm

Any monocoqued case quartz tuna (600m or 1000m) - 48mm

6159-7010 - 50mm

SBDX005 and SBDX011 - 52mm



No wonder i find it a bit small

Change to rubber strap bought cheaply from ebay. The strap feels like it won't last for too long.. Wear it while it doesn't break.

If anyone is desperate enough, ALL, and I mean all the newest and most popular Seiko models are available at Seiko JEM.

I saw the 3 SUN models, there were 2 Tuna's, the Shogun, and the newest Prospex Solar Landmasters ( 2 models) as well as 2 Prospex compass bezels.

While demand is high and supply low, I doubt we can find at good discount. Since its not a LE, should 忍, hold off...until got more supply, at least for poor guy like me.

There are serveral variants for promaster got a gold/black chrono, a solar chrono so maybe those can get at about $500?

Also remember the spork and samurais, they also not LE but seiko stop production and the demand went crazy. So I think up to individuals. Another thing I noticed when 3D took out the piece to check the price, the price tag was highlighted with a yellow florescent marker.

Ya the yellow is to remind sales staff that it's a hot model so can whack buyer hard...Shop at bras basah writes limited stock on their kinetic divers...



In this case I am pretty confident that seiko won't be stopping production any time soon...wait wait.

That's no longer in production. And its HUGE .... as the pict clearly illustrates. And its not cheap either.
