My MM from bro shaggy.

Congrats and wear in gd health... Gxgx
Re: Marine Master 300
Thanks, TheChef & Dragonboat02. :)
Re: Marine Master 300
While I agree with everyone that the MM300 is a great watch for the $, and can hold its own next to Omegas and Rolexes, there are two pts which I don't like about it.

1) Too thick for the case diameter

2) Bracelet looks too refined. Personally I would prefer it without the polished bits

IMHO, and just to provide an alternative view point. I am still thinking of getting one too however :D

Re: Marine Master 300
We don't encourage sales posts outside the market place, so shaggy will get a hard time from us by replying in such posts that's outside market place. :|

Do get your 10 posts, PM and market place access will be granted ;)
Re: Marine Master 300
The MM300 has a cult like following & its easy to see why , they are Awesome . I seen them in the flesh one @ lucky plaza & the other @ Seiko Thong Sia , although the MM300 @ lucky plaza seems to be gathering dust literally :( . The MM300 @ Thong Sia Seiko was Displayed as it deserves "Loud & Proud" in the Japan Demostic Watch display . :)
Re: Marine Master 300
MM300 is nice. :)
Re: Marine Master 300

MM300 is nice. :)

No. It's breathtaking!

The more I look at this.. the more I want it... This definitely goes on my grail list. Someone on another forum bought a green Rolex Sub and this on the same day and posted pics of both side by side... and the MM300 just has so much more presence! I wrote there that the MM300 just looks so much more "butch" when compared to the Sub.

Only trouble is that there are so many watches between here and the MM300! LOL! Still wading through the mire to get to the MM300! LOL!
MM300
Hey guys,

New to the forum and am recently rather hooked on Seikos.

Personally have an orange monster and SXK007 (Both of which gets way more wrist time than my Sinn U1). Does anyone have any idea where i can go to (Besides TS) to take a look at the MM300 in the flesh?

Also, would anyone know where i can source for the SBBN015 locally?

Thanks for the help and i look forward to sharing with you guys on the forum!

Cheers!
Re: MM300
Yo dude! Nice to see you here. You can try Big Time at Sims Avenue for these 2. If you're around Isle Cafe on Saturdays and if I'm there too, you can have a look at mine to get an idea =)
Re: MM300
Hi there, you might want to pay Mr Goh of K2 a visit.

He may have one, if not just stop by and take a look at his collection and make a new friend.

Hmm, I think I read it from somewhere, I can't recall if it's 100% but the movement is hand assembled, the lume is applied by hand (the uneven lume shows)..

Re: Marine Master 300
Hi Shaggy,

I am new here and I have just dropped you an email. Waiting for your reply.

I am curious to know if the Seiko watch we buy from you can be sent for servicing or repairing at TS?

Thanks.
Re: Marine Master 300
All,

I am curious to know if the Seiko watch we buy from any shop or anyone. How can we know if they can be sent for servicing or repairing at TS? Or if not TS, where can we go? Or so long it is a Seiko, we can send it to TS for repair?
Re: Marine Master 300
Wah marina master looks so much nicer then the tudor black bay.

My next watch I get will be it.

Am sure a lot of the old watch shops can service Seikos. That's the beauty. K2 is one place but as of late, I've seen pieces being turned down. TS should be able to service any Seiko except vintage ones... That's what I understand. Parts availability can be a big problem for older watches. Am sure some of the more seasoned collectors can comment better.

Personal taste. And black bay owners will say otherwise. In fact, I have come across a number who feel that it's stupid to buy more than a S$1k Seiko. Don't fault them, watch preference is a matter of personal taste. Both are beautiful pieces and cannot be compared head on as its like saying apples are better than oranges, or vice versa.
Re: Marine Master 300
$4K for a ETA ? ;)

Well. Some would say, $4k for a seiko? ;p i,m one of them btw :) i,ve never been able to bring myself to buy a grand seiko, no matter how much i like that ltd edn blue face 1 with power reserve which some1 here reviewed recently iirc, or any seiko for that matter that costs more than $1k, but have paid $6k-$8k for a eta watch. It,s all a matter of perception.

Then isn,t eta inhouse movt for all watches under the swatch group? :)

Oh btw, i alr bot the strap. But haven,t try whether can the buckle be removed. Will try when i decide to put it on 1 of my watches :) tks

Re: Marine Master 300
Agreed, I have ETA 2824 from 500 till 1k+.. so it's still packaging.

We have Seiko 7S movt on 100 range, they also appear in other brands that cost like 800 ?

It's the watch that matters eventually... MM300 is an example. Once you handle it, the cost is justified.

That said, to drop more than 4K on a Grand Seiko.. well I think I'm ok with it but maybe not now. haha.

Not just in-house, GS movt are hand assembled... regulated. Anyway ETA comes in different grades as well...
