IMO, if you do intend to hoot a Omega Speedy, best is to go for the very begin model with 321 movt. Best of the best is to get one with raised Omega logo on the dial. ;)



I had been searching for a long time for one still bo luck, until early this year. Had a opportunity to get one in a trade but movt is 861. So still better than nothing... heheh...







You'll ask why this one? Simply because it is a post-moon watch. The caseback tell it all.....

I think speedies cost relatively more for servicing, and that's holding me back in getting preowned with w/o proper servicing history. Likewise for Swiss auto chronos...

You know what the deal about post-moon and pre-moon right. The watches that first went to the moon were pre-moon.

haha finally u post the pics...been waiting for it(though u posted before last time) but this is a rare short production run(transitional piece).

A 861 in it is still ok for me.... thats very common replacement for such pieces :)

3k SGD is more on the 2nd hand watch shop value...like how much they sell to customers. try to get under 2.6k(if you really like the watch).

those price point ard early 2k have been seen but then rather uncommon and got to be patient..



Note the conditions of dial(original vintage dial or OEM omega replacement when it was sent for service- tritum T swiss- MadeT or just swiss made color of lume on indices and hands if they are matching. Any issue to chrono start/stop/reset. Any pitting underside of case,casethreads,backcase. Clean movement? Original crystal or original with scratches,..most important I suppose at this price it should come with original bracelet.
