yah bro,I was there with the CEO and John.. then talked abt this 4R37 piece (hmm..waiting for a internationally accepted nickname for this),its functions and lotsa questions I asked too....cos I never knew abt this movement and for a few seconds didnt knew it was a Seiko when CEO handed one to me.Thought it was some swiss watch(cos was at an angle/degree,didnt see seiko tags etc). The first look kinda 'wah...this is Seiko??'...really never expect new seiko design is like that de..

The watch measures 44mm w/o crown! Somehow, Seiko had broke away from the habit of reusing back the same case over & over again. The sliderule bezel turns smoothly, winding is just ok, of course not as smooth as a 6R but still bearable :)







All de haoliao kana hoot by chiu liao... :lol: lug de bezel aka calculator huan... 8-)

there are sure plus and minus points for this watch but think at the current price,it be comfortable for collectors...design of 12 oclock sub dial for 24hr is something rather unique,someone in design department actually dare to make such move..



think they really want to make this a simple elagant watch with slide rule function... breaking free from the tradtitonal seiko design..



and 'usually' means what we already got used too,maybe its time to accept new ideas from seiko?:D

lol... k2 got many clock to take reference too when you want set timing....international timezone...



heng is meetup for watch hobby stuff and not meet client or anything work related...



I also did this before but the watch kept in display one.. else will really look funny when you realise its the wrong time...

Imo the rose gold one is nice but I'm skeptical abt the ion plated case and bracelet. Scared like abit cheapo looking. This piece retail price is 665$. Sho exp!

I took a quick stroll at bencoolen n went in 3D when I saw the above update regarding the 4r37 watches....the 2 other variants with waffle dial doesn't interest me ....one impt thing was the kinda reflective waffle pattern on dial and weird looking for me as I prefer matt style dial or most wavy dial on sawtooths...



The red second hand n sub register for 24hr are a plus n the yellowish pattern slide rule for ssa005 is nice...no issue on watever color the crown ring is....



The rose gold black ionised variant looks like one kinda seiko 5 model,this color combo nt for me...black with stainless steel is enuff le...



But I can say all the three models will look gd in leather straps ....

As what ah goh mentioned,the other two variant other than what was reviewed in yeoman blog will be much more expensive,as you can see from the differences in retail pricetag...4xx vs 665sgd...



Then again check with k2 if u want to buy,the price will be much better...
