Well, as we grow, we also getting busier by the year :)



I really hope we can organize a GTG this year, however we are always facing the same challenges, getting an accessible and affordable venue for the GTG.



We also welcome any volunteers who's willing to help in the arrangement and logistic for this great event :)



Lets target 25th April, 1-5pm.



We can start by suggesting venues now.



Key criteria:

Accessible to MRT

Affordable food if it's a cafe

As private as possible (remember there will be lots of watches)



If there's any corporate tie ups that's possible for venue, we are open to explore but note that SCS still remains an ad-free forum.



Members are expected to chip in for any fees or food. As we are not generating revenue, the forum won't be able to sponsor :)



We also welcome donation for prizes, every contribution will go back to the members.

I have made enquires from my working place.

Quality Hotel, Balestier Road. Rental of banquet room for half day is $200++. Full day $400++.

estimate attendees 20-30. No food or drinks.

If half day with coffee/tea and 1 snack, $28++ per pax. Full day with 2 breaks $40++ per paxz.

If half day, 200+. We can't exactly bring our own food also right.

I think we can bring in our own drinks and some snacks. I need to confirm this.

Haven't got a chance to speak to the mgr. Will update you on that.

If SCS watch can be ready by April, maybe we can take this opportunity to launch and collect as well? Just a suggestion

For venue, so far I got Quality Hotel function room. Rental is $200++. No food and drinks (but I guess we can sneak in some snacks and package drink). Got a few free parking. Location is at Balestier Road, 10 mins walk from Novena and Boon Keng MRT station.

Morning or Afternoon session? On 25th April I am working till 1pm.

i'd like to suggest this location. Food is good, central location. And the very nice lady boss is open to discussion. Menu attached. I'll be happy to co-ordinate if you folks are agreeable?
