lucky to catch one Sardine for lunch just now, so tasty and yummy ! impressive sun burst look on the blue face, shiny and reflective dark blue bezel, yellow gold hand that always good matching color that makes the reading easier, blue matt shroud and polish gold crowd











Limited edition, but unknown how many pieces would be available in market *source from other website it should be 1000 piece for each design only





duo tone on min / hour hand in gold and blue





the only thing i would change on this watch is the black color day/date instead of white



by far this LE blue series made in non-japan model only, cheers! :)

I just got one at Yuen Loong Parkway Parade yesterday.. but i believe they have only one piece so no luck there..



However i saw one at City Chain Northpoint. Dunno the price there but i got mine at PP for $380.. I hope i am not paying over the odds here..

Thanks guys for letting me know i got it at a good price.. my first Tuna as you can see here i am a newbie here.. Have been lurking around looking at Tunas until i saw this beauty that made me think "if i have to buy a Tuna this got to be the one".

I half suspect tuna and sardine is just a name given to the watch.

Why and how I dont know.



As I like to eat tuna only, so I buy tuna.

I seldom eat sardine, so I pass sardine.

This is known as Baby Tuna or Sardine because it is smaller in size and thickness, although it resembles a regular Tuna. For daily office wear, some prefer a Sardine. A regular Tuna will for sure stick out from our shirt sleeves. A regular Tuna costs a small fortune, while a Sardine which is equally functional for normal wear, costs a small fraction of a regular Tuna. The regular Tuna has a more refined watch movement and is an icon of watches. But Seiko being a Seiko, a Sardine is also good, accurate and reliable. :)

Just a little addition... on how it get named "sardine".

It was 2yrs ago... if i'm not wrong, 3 limited editions of mini TUNAs was released during the CNY period...

with it's prominent RED plastic shroud, looks a lot like the AYAM Brand canned SARDINEs that most of us are familiar with, as as SARDINES in local market under other labels... This was how the mini TUNA gets "renamed" as SARDINE lor...
