I have noticed that the Seiko SBDC Sumo's have been of short supply or completely out of stock lately ? It has also been rumoured they are to be discontinued :o , so I e'mailed "Chino Watch" to see whats up .

Anyone knows where we can still get a Black Sumo in Singapore?

I saw an Orange dial during my trip to Japan and it's quite similar to my Orange ST and priced at $530 but I did not buy it.

yup always go to boutique to try try and see see, feel the real thing on my wrist, then source for cheaper place to purchase. But seriously man, Seiko boutique prices are siao, they put the RRP of Sumo at 1088.....

I got ask the sales lady, the msrp is 63000 yen on the tag, how come the price is not direct conversion, she murmur and smile... lol

Just to update this post and share at the same time, I called Bigtime today in search for a Fieldmaster (unfortunately no stock).

I just learned that new stocks for the Sumo just arrived. Also 1 more left for a Marine Master 300.

hmmm..? i went down on monday, they have 2 blues and 2 blacks. i bought 2 blues and my colleague went down later to get one black... after that whether the stocks came in anot im not too sure..

the new stocks arrived so fast.. i bought 2 and my colleague bought one on monday and on that day itself only left one black on display and the orange one was there for quite a while already.....



that day also has mm300, emperor tuna and the sbbn017 (quite rare), managed to see hold and feel the 017 tuna, really a nice piece but then it was already sold on arrival... :lol:

Price is controlled for Seiko JDM at Bigtime. They can give better discounts for Orients.

I think the max they give is 3 to 5% discount.

Price is good compared to Outside shops if I'm not mistaken.

Sometimes I can't help but be amused when I see pre-own being sold at 700+ :shock:



I been there twice, bought my Orient Star Classic from them.

Excellent service, very accommodating staffs :)

they can give abit more discount if u're regular. so yr first watch there will be quite fixed at the shop best discount, after that subsequently u will be offered abit more discount.



the service there is great, always get to drink coffee while testing out the watches.. the coffee is quite nice too. :lol:

i think its quite a good shop that maybe emphasize on good service to try to get regulars coming back.

Don't know exactly the discount percentage but it's quite a lot. The lady told me that they can give very little discounts on Seiko JDM but Orient they can give more.

And yes the coffee is very nice :D

That is right. In any shop worth its salt, return customers are always the main source of revenue and word of mouth through whatever means, eg forums & recommendations the best advertisement. So whats a cuppa now and then.

Nowadays you go anywhere they will you serve either bottled water or drinks, no worries. E.g Poh Heng gold smiths or Cortina Watches.

In this respect, Big Time is par for course in the service race for excellence.

Ultimately buying is only a means to an end and the process is whats makes it enjoyable or not. In this I think Big Time is very much in the forefront.

The worst experience i've had was with the Omega boutique at Raffles City, very arrogant, bochup, see you no up type of expression on his face throughout the entire time i was browsing in there, ultimately i ended up buying the omega my wife wanted at a smaller authorized dealer at a much better discount and with far better service.... :roll:
