Poll - Diver Watches ??

i dive but dont wear watch.i think most diver will wear a dive computer not a watch.i need to know my air time not tell time.the sea out there is not ocean park no need to know what time is the fish feeding time :) .If dive watch for divers then those cheap brand watches can recall their flightmaster watch.i dont think a pilot will wear a cheap seiko flightmaster they will rather wear a rolex or a iwc.if a pilot really use the watch function to fly the plane rather than use the plane control system.i will not step onboard any plane at all.So people buy watch for its' look design rather then the function.

Most people buy watch for its design. But, I don't think pilots prefer to wear Rolxx and IWC lah. Nowadays, it is common for youngsters and salesmen at Sim Lim to wear a Rolxx. As for IWC, also commonly seen on the wrists of people walking on the streets or on MRT, compared to a few years ago. But, I have yet to see people wearing Seiko Flightmaster. I personally own Rolxx, IWC and Seiko Flightmaster. Rolxx and IWC are not that exclusive already. Another crappy comment by me. Hahaha. ..[/quote]

I totally agree with your observation. Rolex and IWC is not that exclusive as it once was. I see it all the time too (and sometimes i wonder how some of them can afford it :? )

(a bit of jealousy on my part   )

But I'd like to just add on what you said, if those common people had to choose between a Rolex, IWC or a Seiko... which would they choose?

EXACTLY!

i think that's the point Sengki was trying to illustrate.

(atleast that's how i understood it  )

Even on this forum, i think majority of us will not put our money down on a modern GS... even when knowing about the quality and all that. But in reality when in that price range, most will go for Swiss or German.

If we had 5k-9k... what would u get? I seriously doubt Seiko is up there for most of us.

Before anyone jump down my throat... i said 'MOST'; and not ALL will not...

I personally will buy a modern GS (infact i'm saving up for one now).

everyone buys for different reasons. Just enjoy this hobby.

Rude 'opinions vary' , then again maybe ppl need to HTFU more ? But the assumption that pilots prefer Rolex or IWC over cheap Seiko's still aint answered .

While may be true, it's always nice to have a backup... a cheap dive watch (like that Knight, love it!) won't break your heart when you scratch it against some rocks / coral when the currents change.

Of course, if you've got the $$$$ that fixing up your DSSD crystal or having it repolished by a Rolex service centre is completely insignificant, hey, who am I to judge? :P ;)

Don't think its cool to pass judgement on a fellow member's comment bro.

Dumb is a nasty word. I know of someone, who doesn't know how to upload an image till date, shouldn't that title be conferred instead?

Seems your passing judgement on me now , not cool either bro .
