Highlights for 2012

Highlights for 2012
The year is almost over! :D

What were your watch highlights for 2012?

It can be your ultimate grails, the cheap bargains that you can't resist, or simply the watch that brings a silly smile to your face every time you look at it.

These are my 2 most satisfying purchases for 2012. Pseudo vintage Tudor for myself, and real vintage Omega for wife. :)

Let's see yours! ;)

Why? Because it's a hardest "SPEEDY GONZALES" that requires 6mths of patience, and determination to catch!

Ed, nice haul for 2012.

Everyone, let's keep the number of watch highlights per person to just 2 pcs so that everyone can look back and ponder real hard...

Pick 2 leh bro... lol
Re: Highlights for 2012
I only acquired 10 pieces this year, 1 not sure if it will make it this year, so in fact I only introduced 9 new pieces into my collection.

If I have to choose, it will be the last Russian piece that was actually paid in Nov 2011, waited half a year for it. It is the Poljot Okeah Final Edition.

2012 has been a year of clearing instead of acquiring ;)

for me, it had to be these 2.

Ocean 7 LM-3. Owned 1 before, sold it to a good friend, missed it, got 1 back again. Love the weight of the watch & the beautiful anodized blue dial

Magrette Regattare 2011. Beautiful watch. period. ;)

Being able to get it to your possession, is a test of your patience as well as determination... hence, they're considerable to be a testimonial to be the highlight of 2012.

Re: Highlights for 2012
This my watch highlight for 2012.

I only started collecting in the latter half of the year. And the biggest influence has been this forum. All the banter, the support and great "poison" that's gleefully spread by all. So this this whole forum, though young and small, is one of my watch highlights. You al need to pat yourselves on the back!

The second highlight has been the secondary journey that I found myself on with the case project. That has taken me into a whole different exploration and put a whole different obsession back into my interests. Its helped rekindle my long-ignored knife collection and helped me discover facets of global business that i would otherwise never have thought about. On that note, I will be offering more cases for sale in early 2013!

Phew. Christmas is always a warm and fuzzy period for me and I'm glad I can share some of these sentiments with fellow formers here.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, bros!!!
