Seiko Astron

Seiko Astron
The new Seiko Astron has been launched! Amazing watch! :D

I can't seem to find anything on the lug width though. Anyone knows the lug width and if it can be bought separately? From the pictures, i don't see any drilled lugs, so i guess strap changing will be via the "traditional" way.

Re: Seiko Astron
Hi, all. Newbie here (first post). I think I got bitten by the Astron GPS bug. Any AD to recommend and what discount can I expect? Considering the SAST001 or SAST007.

Thank you.

Re: Seiko Astron
NIce watch. How the GPS work on the watch? Compass?
Re: Seiko Astron
I believe it sets the time depending on which of the 37 time zones you are in. Haven't travelled since getting it though :)
Re: Seiko Astron
Guess it,s more for frequent travellers?
Re: Seiko Astron
Yup. Other benefit is that since it calibrates with gps daily, time should be constantly accurate. (although who really bickers about a few seconds :-))
Re: Seiko Astron
anybody knows where is the time offset stored? in the watch or on the GPS? jakarta has been considering changing their time zone to GMT+8 ( from GMT +7). if that happen, are we able to update the changes if these offset info are pre-program in the watch?
