Greetings from Shinjuku, Toyko

Enjoying my holidays here with my family .... weather was nice at around 14 to 18 degree ..... food was delicious and was quite reasonably priced at the place we had our dinners - surprise surprise !



Went Disneyland yesterday and on our way back to Hotel, passed by Yodobashi store, look at the wide selection of Japanese made watches and hooted these ..... one for me and one for my wife:



First, my wife selected the Seiko Lukia series, she likes the dial and the overall "white" theme of this watch. It is "made in Japan" but I am not sure if it is a JDM model or if it is available in Singapore. The quality and workmanship of this watch seem to be better than those available in Singapore, my wife think so as well - she had a few other Seiko watches. Anyway, here is the picture of her Lukia:











As for me, I read about this watch before in the Internet, view the web pictures many times but didn't think much of it until when I saw the real watch in person. This watch speaks to me and the 3 reasons why I fall in love with it at first sight are:



Reason No. 1 - the blue dial and blue colour leather strap.

Reason No. 2 - the blue dial and blue colour leather strap.

Reason No. 3 - the blue dial and blue colour leather strap.



All the pictures I saw on this watch can't do justice to this beauty, the blue shade Seiko used is really very nice and unique. The quality is the usual GS standard, and the domed crystal is coated. Probably the net already have some detail reviews on this watch ....



Did I say I just love the blue colour dial and leather strap? :D

Other than Japan, the Lukia series is also available in China and Taiwan market. No idea about HongKong though...

Was in Yodobashi Shinjuku last week. Unluckily had spent too much money at Daikokuya. So no more budget to get a GS. But still very happy with a nice catch of SBDC011 at very nice price also.

Both Seiko's you purchased are very fine , your new GS is amazing "Enjoy it " .

Before leaving Shinjuku, got a few other Seiko watches as well ..... was a bit worry when at Changi airport, if sway sway the security/customs check my backpack, think I must pay GST like siao ....but luckily all went well :D

Beautiful pieces. If customs stop, it's a Seiko lor :lol: ... Don't think I know many people who think Seikos are high End as long as receipts are not left inside. Just IMO.

Both are real beauties & they look awesome...thanks for sharing.

Got some time this morning, so I took some pictures of the other watches I purchased during my Shinjuku Japan trip.



- The Landmaster SBDB007.















The thing I really like about this watch is the second hand movement. Because of the high contrast between the hand and the watch dial, somehow the gliding motion is very nice, can't really explain it, not the first SD I own but it feels difference.

This watch obviously is not small, but it wears very comfortably and somehow the design makes it not "as big" when it is on my wrist.





A family photo of some of my humble collections (mostly Seiko).... the king of accuracy (when GPS signal is available) is sitting in the center. :D

Triodeman, your humble collection is many level of humbleness of some. Thanks for sharing n that GS Sbgm031 is a beauty. Is the price of Sbgm 031 the same as the other GS Sbgm029 ?

Too many watches, in the process of consolidating and trying to trim down my collection. So now I have decided to sell my BNIB* Seiko Astron SAST009 at a very good price for Seiko club member only (hence I am not putting it up on the Buy/Sell section with price). Box, paper and everything are in order.
