Mine runs a consistent +10sec/day since day 1.

I bought it brand new in 2010.



Usually you need a couple weeks of run in time and also depends on what u do during the day.

My advice is monitor for another couple weeks. If its still slow then go get it regulated if it bothers u.



I rotate watches every 2-3 days so sometimes +/- 15sec doesn't bothers too much.



Or if I'm going to be wearing the watch for a week straight on a work trip, I would set it 30-40sec slower so by the end of the week it's only +20-30sec fast.

Alrighty, I will give it another couple more weeks to see how it goes, as I only got this watch brand new last Thursday.

Yeah, I'm the kind that wear 1 watch daily, so it kinds of irritates me to be off by the extreme margin of the movement.

So may I ask those bro who owns a sumo actually is the sumo moment accurate anot,bcos I hold back my trigger after hearing the accurate issue,but my baby tuna moment 4R36 so far so gd accurate no issue pls advise planing to get the sumo tks

Depends on luck I guess, some will get a +-5 out of the box unregulated.

I got a -20-25 out of the box.

Hi guys, just to confirm, Higuchi international warranty means that I can bring to Thong Sia to service (regulating) for free right?

Servicing is not free. Repair probably is during warranty period.



If it within the allowances, it's not considered broken.

Pretty sure it's in warranty period, as I only got the watch from Higuchi last Thursday.

It's off the allowances for 6R15 -15 to +25, currently I'm getting -20 to -25 loss per day.



Main concern is to confirm whether Thong Sia will accept international warranty from Higuchi?

TS is one of the authorised dealers as stated in the international warranty card. There is no reason for TS not to repair it if is not functioning within specifications.



I have purchase a JDM model SARB021 through a friend in Japan, I sent it to TS for repair and they accepted it willingly, no question asked.



No worries.

Hi Bro, thanks for the help/tips as usual! :)



Was actually thinking for the whole day, let's say in the worst case scenario that I sent in for regulating, and it came back within specs, but still sticks around the extreme end (-15 ish or +20 ish).

I don't think I can really live with that, I was actually expecting about +-5 sec (maybe read too much good stories around forums in regards to Sumo).

Cause I will be wearing this daily for work and all kind (I'm pretty much a 1 watch person), and the daily loss/gain on extreme end quite irks me alot.



I think I might just sell this watch (if I get a reasonable offer) when it's still in mint condition (1 week usage as of now), and buy a MM Tuna Quartz.

Yes, I will spend abit more after the sale of Sumo, but I'm pretty sure the accuracy will be spot on other than -1 sec/month.

That is the best alternative I can think of, cause better mechanical movement (8 and 9 series) watches are definitely off my budget now, even though my watch enthuasist friend will say quartz watch has no soul or feel.



But one has to buy within budget and personal requirement, that's what I feel la haha.
