One thing I don't like is the thin strap, hence, I decided to change it to a leather strap.

Hi Traded.

Yes it is Black IP, that is the second reason why I changed to leather. Else I will very soon have a zebra patterned strap.

Here's a pic of the back. Sorry about the quality, will try to take again with better lighting tomorrow.







The original strap is only 20mm wide. What I have done is to replace it with a 22mm leather strap, corners trimmed to fit the lugs. Felt that it has better flow of the lines from the lugs.

Thanks, the casing of this watch is big enough to hide the cut straps.

Very nicely executed.

Blown the budget for watches,have to wait a few more weeks to hoot again. Chino website just put up the they will be selling SCEB009 end of jan 2013 so still got time to save up

try out at china town there, not sure wat we should call, since it using monster case, compass bezel (consider Land), if landmonster that would be the higher range of seiko using 6R, perhaps call it mini land monster? or compass monster ? :lol:

Like the different swimmer variants, a bit of fun with the Trek Monster (yeesh, not Land Monster!); these are definitely an interesting alternative (though perhaps a bit cartoonish?). The Trek Monsters have a non-click bi-directional bezel, but I think they have a screw-down crown and there's obviously the 6R15 vs 4R35 here.
