Would like to polish a SS watch and tried searching here but have not seen much. Care to recommend

1) professional polishers for watches? Hopefully you have some experience or know someone who does.

2) if DIY, what would be needed for basic job? Saw some one recommend a Bergeron cloth, besides that? Khatena the only place to get?

Many thanks in advance for your input. It's much appreciated. :D
Re: Recommendations

USE sand-paper (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sandpaper"shiny" look.

bought sand-paper at neighbourhood hardware store for SGD0.80 each regardless of grit size.

Re: Recommendations
I can recommend:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Cape-Cod-Metal-Polishing-Cloths-3-PACKS-OF-2-Polish-Silver-Gold-Jewelry-Watches-/200794930035?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2ec04f7b73#ht_702wt_952" false;

works great, if the scratches are not too deep ;)
Recommendations
If you are looking for shine, use cape cod or any metal polishing cloth.

If you are removing scratches and dings, it's a different thing all together.

It also depends on your watch finishing, brushed or polished, best is to bring to professional. Heard JW does provide polishing services as well.

for the watch head itself I'll probably seek professional help. :mrgreen:

I've personally tried the sandpaper (for metal, gray sandpaper). I only used grit 400 & 600.

If your really want to get it really fine, you can try going step by step all the way to grit 1200, but I didn't coz i wanted to keep the case edges as clean as possible.

To get the mirror finish, I used autosol with my dremel polish bit.

You can see the before after in my mod project post:
