Dud you check with them if they can pick the gst cheque up from you when their guy comes to deliv the parcel?

I just received the bill mailed to me last we onli... so no idea about passing cheque to FEDEX man ley...
Have they delivered the parcel to you already? If the haven't you should be able to arrange with them to pick up the cheque from you when they deliver. Try calling them.

yeah... i saw that envelope. But that's for sending cheque back, right? I was wondering is there any other channel available for payment.
Deutsch Zeitmesser : Steinhart
I can check with my ex-colleagues from the brown outfit if you want cos I'm pretty certain you can arrange fir cheque pick up.
Deutsch Zeitmesser : Steinhart
From what I know if brown can do it, so can yellow and purple.

You can email them and ask. I paid through internet banking for UPS.
Deutsch Zeitmesser : Steinhart
Checked with some ex-colleagues can be done. But they don't encourage it. Understandable as it's a direct outlay. However, if freight is paid by consignee (ex-works) then they will also be more willing.
Re: Deutsch Zeitmesser : Steinhart
I think post here is correct (Mod if here is the wrong thread, pls help to move to the correct one). Yesterday, I got my first Steinhart "Nav.B-Uhr II vintage Titan" Fliegeruhren (Lookalike to 1940s Pilot watch) :D Titanium casing, mat black dial, egg shell color arabic markers & warranty dated as Apr 2012. Watch is match with Sinner bro light brown with blue stitch strap & swap the Steinhart Titanium screwed buckle... 8-) IMHO it look nice...

Well... Just received my package from the courier 20mins ago... Delighted to see that my order arrived safely without any external damages, but dissapointed to see that the package is not complete. The bezel changing tool as well as the other 2 bezels, DLC and bronze was mis-shiped. Sigh...

Huh

The 2 hex keys & 2 bezels are missing??

:(
Re: Deutsch Zeitmesser : Steinhart
Yah lor... Short shipped. Dats why I immediately shoot a call to Germany to tell them abt the seriousness of such hiccup. Mis-packing is a really bad impression to another person when it comes to service quality.

Re: Deutsch Zeitmesser : Steinhart
after wearing Steinhart FL. 23883 running on Eta 2824-2 for a wk, it has kept excellent time bt it gains abt 25 seconds per week.

Question as its still within the standard range rite :?: or do i nd to get it regulate :?: :?:
Re: Deutsch Zeitmesser : Steinhart
If over 5 days, it's +5 a day. Sounds reasonable..
Re: Deutsch Zeitmesser : Steinhart

If over 5 days, it's +5 a day. Sounds reasonable..

Reference frm: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ETA_SA"-2" at the end of the movement number, there has been no difference between the standard and the chronometer grades in terms of the regulator mechanism, both being Etachron. To illustrate the differences in accuracy garnered by the successive grades, consider the following specifications:

~ the Standard grade is adjusted in two positions with an average rate of +/-12 seconds/day, with a maximum daily variation of +/-30 seconds/day;

~ the Elaborated grade is adjusted in three positions with an average rate of +/-7 seconds/day, with a maximum daily variation of +/-30 seconds/day;

~ while the Top grade is adjusted in five positions with an average rate of +/-4 seconds/day, with a maximum daily variation of +/-10 seconds/day.

The Chronometer grade must meet strict standards prescribed by the COSC. Chronometer grade movements are serial numbered, as that is a requirement of the certification authority. Moreover, it should be noted that the degree of decoration on the movement's parts, generally only an aesthetic improvement, increases as well with the grade.

Question as how do we know whether a Eta 2824-2 is adjusted at two, three & five position :?: :?:
Re: Deutsch Zeitmesser : Steinhart
adjusted to posn and temp etc will have these words stamped on the bridge/movement ... ?
Deutsch Zeitmesser : Steinhart
Usually they will say what grade they use. If never say I can assume is standard ba.

My aquadive +5 over a week but then again it's regulated before they ship out with a cert somemore so time keeping still good as its still new.

Maybe give it a few more years with wear and tear it won't be this precise Liao.

Worth it or not is entirely your call. If you like it then definitely worth it.

Re: Deutsch Zeitmesser : Steinhart
Steinhart....

Pulled the trigger the other day and ordered direct (because local distributor didn't have). So far, service is lacking IMHO. For the local distributor, my xp going down twice has also not been good. (maybe need to wear shirt tie/ atas look than they will bother to attend to me lor)

So for now, i am hoping that when I do get the piece it'll change my mind. Maybe other scs brothers have had better xp and it just happened to be my encounters that i had a sub standard xp.

You'll loose your patience more easily next year... no need... next month, if you place your order during the holiday season that last all the way till January. Next year could get more worse, when their popularity grows...

Ha~~~~ , you're not the 1st to kenna that... that scene from my 1st purchase of the Ocean Green still haunts me... once or twice in several months...

I hope not. Finally got an email saying that next year than got stock but mine should be ready in 2-3 weeks. Piang, not even an out of stock piece. That's misleading to say the least when I ordered and there was no indication that they only had a small batch. Waiting is part of the watch buying xp, right? Delays on new pieces etc is understandable. Thing I don't get is don't have stock, don't take order & full payment as an online shop. Simple, not as if this is a custom forum project.

Glad to know I am not the only one. My friend who was with me also commented that they were very stuck up and can get even better service at the Swiss retailers with shorts and t shirt and better not waste time there. But I take it they had a bad day lor.

That's strange. They are very friendly people. I got all my steinnies from them.

I calculated that the price difference between them and direct differ only by a very small amount. A small sum to pay for convenience and a piece of mind.

In fact when I go shop shop I prefer that the sales people don't shadow me.

In fact their service is good enuf for me to purchase 9 watches from them to date.
