Badminton!

Tennis!

Basketball!
Re: The Exercise Thread
I always tell my friends...got to balance between cardio, static, weights and all ranges of motion(curl, pull, push, lift, concentric ,eccentric, isometric movt)...always do check n balance up the trainings...cos last time in gym ,I see many ppl over emphasis in biceps or arms nia... working muscles grp are more impt and training them with compound exercises is more beneficial..

also be it for running, gym goers, your core is very important cos there's where u get your energy/posture from...weak core will get injuries..

learn how to "activate" your core...

can do planks(nt the siaoding dong youtube planks)...sideplanks,one leg one hand planks tahan for 30 secs progressive to 2 mins etc..

do bridge, crunches(situp always cause backaches as ppl tend to anyhow do ...its a 'dangerous exercise'....hence crunches are recommended)

play with medicine ball with your buddy during situp exercises...(pass the ball...can also use basketball at home)

hang on the pullup bar do leg raises..

these isometric exercises helps..

as for weights...emphasis on eccentric movements as well..they are the one that will make you love the latic acids and your muscle grow...

(example: curling up 2 secs....curl down 2-4 secs)
Re: The Exercise Thread
It's funny, I hate training my biceps the most, totally opposite from the typical gym crowd.. haha.

Anyway, my arms are still considered small for my size as I hardly put emphasis on them.

I totally agree with the core exercise, that reminds me, I need to plan for tomorrow's work out. I just went yesterday, first session after so long... body aching all over ..

One of the reasons why I dun hit gym often..... everytime hit liaoz..come back will ache here and there for a whole week! And another reason, I cannot wash my back without feeling my arm aching sibei jialat and can barely straighten back to normal for a while....

For my height, to put on mass will look funny.... so dun really emphasis any body part. But many ppl who meet me always comment I had a big back :?: :?:

Here is a pic.... u say lei.... :geek: :geek:

Pls excuse the love handle hor....
Re: The Exercise Thread
watchlooker ..reason why u sore(same as everyone else) is because of the inactivity and uncustomisation of your working muscles over long period of time...thats the DOMS-delayed onset muscle soreness symptoms...real aching will start 24hours and last 72hours(3 days) and more for some ppl. Its caused by muscle cells trying hard to repair the damaged, sored ones after the exercise....we all will get microscopic muscle tear after each exercise(running, gym) hence we always take a good time to stretch properly, allowing better blood flow and relax muscles to enhance the recovery of the muscles.
Re: The Exercise Thread
if never ache then i worry...

aching is good! , means u really work your muscle

Re: The Exercise Thread
always great to have workout buddies :)
The Exercise Thread
You have swimming pool near your office ?

I always wanted to hit the gym during lunch but doubt it's even possible. Esp I have a fixed routine and have to wait for equipments.

And on some days schedule is so packed that I hardly have time for lunch too. So sticking to evenings.
