tried that too. the pin is now sticked in the small part of the collar. my pliers are bending it too much I scared will break the pin in the collar! :cry:

Try boil water and soak them for 15 mins... then try again.... dun use too much force..... a little force and patience is the way to go..... wu picture bo.... :?: Will be easy to :idea:

Not cook lah.... just soak them in a bowl of hot water to expand them.... then it'll be easy to twist out.... :idea:



I tried that a few times already... swee swee... and learn a lot along the way..... ;)



Now I can safely said can do almost all bracelet resize with no problem with the very basic tools I had.... hammer, screwdrivers + and -, ejector pins of various diameters and lengths, metal block, wooden block, small table clamp etc. from my old jobs.

hot water will not hurt your stainless steel bracelet (of coz, remove bracelet from your watch first).

tried your method bro.



1. soak in boiling water for 15mins.





2. here's the stucked pin.





3. after 15mins, used pliers. it didn't budge at all. :(





4. go down to K2 later. ;)

From your last picture, the pin is almost out compared to the 2nd picture.... repeat the method... and this time 20 mins.... slowly twist it out.... continue with the process if necessary for with 5 mins increment until u can twist it all out..... ;)

no bro. the 2nd pic showed a water droplet at the pin. it didn't budge at all. I also used that as a gauge whether there is movment of the pin. :)

I seen how ah goh do in such situations. He use zippo if got rust, I think I heard people using lighter or hair dryer to heat and expand it.

bro, i think you have to say goodbye to that sizing pin and collar (i assume it is a pin & collar system) that is stuck in there with the pin.



if you plan on DIY, in such case, you will probably need to use some force to get that pin out.

wrap the link in masking tape a few rounds (so u dont scratch it). use a plier to hold wrapped up link in one hand, then in other hand get another plier and hold the pin... then twist and pull! :twisted: :twisted:

looking at the various tips & advice. I put some WD40 on the long protruding end & whack it inwards.

managed to extract the pin fm the other end!

Lol I went to Ah Goh once with a struck collar pin on a monster bracelet seeking help.



He told me very difficult to remove, so he took my bracelet in and sell me a used but polished instead. Lol.

Looks like my OM 7s26 has a runaway problem suddenly, the timing keeps getting faster every hour( every hour 10 min faster)

Send it in to thong sia and they say need 2 weeks for it to be recalibrated, any bros here know why it takes so long??

Send it in to thong sia and they say need 2 weeks for it to be recalibrated, any bros here know why it takes so long??


did u drop it or knock it?

sometimes with these 7Sxx movements, the screw on the balance wheel (?) get caught so it has an uneven regulation (ie. instead of tic-toc-tic-toc... it might be tiiiic-toc-tiiiic-toc) ;)

so it makes it run a little fast.



it happend to me one with my 6R15 black spark. i was too lazy to bring in to TS or Goh, so decided to hold the watch in one palm (caseback facing palm) then i lightly clapped the watch into my other palm (ie slapping down).

i heard a "ping" like something got released.. and the watch has been running +5sec ever since :lol:



not a trick to try for the faint hearted :oops:

My advise, if it's under warranty, let Thong Sia fix it, else, send to K2 and let Mr Goh take a look.

Must be very frustrated to whack.... :lol: :lol: gd dat u mamaged to get it out! ;) Guess that WD40 lubricate the pin so it is easy.... but then the cleaning afterward is troublesome..... I much prefer to slowly heat and twist..... just with a lot of patience..... n can cultivate your patience..... :shock:

I use a new-type WD40 pen so very easy to apply & absolutely no mess one. :)
