Hi guys,

will like to get some opinion on the situation i'm currently facing.



Just got myself a skx007 not long ago and recently, happen to saw the actual piece of the srp043. Was quite drawn to it by the 'sinnish' dial.



However, can only have 1 watch as my 'financial controller' is not permitting me to get another one.. :(



In short, is it worth to flip the skx007 for the srp043?



(Really like the skx007 as well.. haiz....dilemma... lol)



Any opinion?

Any idea what's the flip price for the 007?

I actually prefer the SKX007 over the rest of seiko's offerings in that price range. I think its a no nonsense diver that looks great even in a suit, distinctly Seiko and has roots that can be traced back to the older Seiko models such as the 6309 and so on. But yea, end of the day just buy what you like :mrgreen:

Flip the 007 and get the 043. And if you stay long enough in the watch game, you will eventually flip the 043. :D

Had the option to buy the skx007 or srp043. I brought the skx007 due to the day/date display and the more "classic" look.

However, if I'm not mistaken, the SRP043 is discontinued and harder to come by.

Totally agree with some of the bros here, SKX007 has it's identity, the unique Seiko identity, while the SRP043 AKA Sinn has similarities with a certain Sinn model.

Would go with skx007 anytime of the week because:



1. I'm a sucker for diver's watches

2. At least when you pass the skx007 to your kids, you're gonna say: "this is a classic seiko diver" instead of: "kids, this is sorta an homage to a watch that's fitted with an ETA calibre" (no offense to sinn fans here, just my 2cents)

Differences quite easy to spot what... one got roman digits for 3,6,9 and 12, the other have dots for hour markers. One have both day and date, the other don't have.

007 for me. It's an iconic piece, the submariner of seiko if you may (although ppl would debate mm300 should rightfully sit the throne).

I saw your sales post. I will suggest you to hunt down a 043 first before selling your SKX.

I believe our bro is caught off guarded. Sometimes forgot that u r wearing the new hoot and then also suddenly, ur wife noticed ur new hoot.

Genuine serious question: Why mid-30s Liao buy watch still need to get concurrence? As long as it is within means, and will not destabilize longer term financial plans, why cant you decide unilaterally? :roll:

I dun really care abt her views, just wanna avoid her nagging. When I buy watch, I dun need any reasons. But she has thousand of reasons why I dun need so many watches.

back to track..i own 007 & spork b4... :oops: moi advice ish follow ur heart ghost... ;) n 4 me, i will do ish flip 007 to hoot spork...



mayb silicon strap wit spork...hoot a 22mm trim to 20mm n mount on spork...
