the last taiwan movie i watched was 海角七号







recommended by a friend who loved it so much. but i found it so so. maybe i don't know how to appreciate 台湾文艺电影.



like what some women said, i am a shallow man who go for action packed movies. :oops:

Ohhh...this is one movie i enjoyed watching the DVD again and again with my 2 kids at home...







MY GIRL - a nostalgic look back at the childhood friendship of a boy and girl growing up in a small town in Thailand in the 80s.



this movie makes me look back at the funny old days of my childhood play pals, esp the girl next door i used to bully. :oops:

No need to emo lehh... look at the positive side of the film. Doesn't it triggers you to recall back on your school life that ended numbers of years back?

What kind of crazy stuff did you do during your uni years?(Although i know that local uni life could be dull lah)

Initially i thought that by recommending this movie to fellow brudders here, it would click with numbers of folks in this forum.

Thinking that this thread would get overwhelming response with folks here sharing their "Shen JiaYi" story(if the response is good, i might go on with the second pursuit adventure which features a malaysian gal, third with a taiwanese gal, then last with a korean)... I guess my calculation had been wrong, as i did not count in the unexpected factors.

That most of the brudders here are married individuals, even seeing the movie by themselves would be a little hard, as most of the misuses would be tagging along... then perhaps after the show some of their partners might ask 'em about their school time sweethearts story or such...



I went to see the movie today, get most of the laugh out of me the second time... as for the touching part, i tried to decipher every single lines during the romance moments, still cannot feel, but agree in certain extent on the fact of life.



This movie had been going on screening for 2wks oredi or more. Judging on the history of Mandarin film on local screen, most likely i guess this movie screening will be cut down in days time.

Should any one of fellow brudders here have not seen it... except for brudder aiken... go see it. Feel the fun, feel the sweetness in memory.
