Time flies like a busy housefly.



We are turning one soon, in fact it's this year 10th of April, but Seiko Club has already came a long way since the HWZ EDMW days, it probably goes way back to 2008/2009, started with our CEO, lunarin79.



I want to plan a gathering and this time, it shall be a big bang.



I'm thinking something along the line of booking a venue with either food, drinks or desserts.



Also, how about another round of t-shirt ?



Let's discuss, we have at least 3 months to prepare :)



1st big gathering: 22nd Aug at Mr Bean (I assume it's 2010 ?)





2nd big gathering: 26th June at CSC

But we must remember that Seiko Club from EDMW is definitely more than a year.

BBQ is not very recommended IMO esp need raw food,buying/handling of the marinating food,then need ice/water,and variety of makans ...not to mention getting all greasy and dirty while subjected to thunder and rain gods' mood.. end gathering riao still gt to clear up area plus bbq area.



As we also will be bringing watches to the gathering(confirm right!),we want to minimise time wastage,makan ,molest watch,talk cock,enjoy and go home.

I suggest food be using some good catering or buffet style can riao...



and I suggest location be somewhere with good lighting...cos too dim cannot see and learn abt watches one..

finding a function room sounds good . I like catering...can free n easy makan..n mingle around with hoards of watches on one side of the room begin displayed.....wahahahaa..... later u see ppl stand one side talking abt prices riao..

How much people will eventually turn up is really hard to determine.

Have you attended gathering dinners with your fellow army pals before... you'll know.



Putting myself into the organizer's shoes, i would start with a very small number first... perhaps 15 or so... even though there may be a big numbers of members in this forum.

(Let's be frank how many of you are so close or good to meet together such that you can joke/talk/suan at one another without any embarrassment?)

Can't remember the exact number, need to refer to photos for that.

I remember we had more than 1 outing at Mr Bean right?



I remember I saw a green alphinist, mm300... I think I brought my SD600 along.



Was poisoned by the MOP and 6138 of CEO... I remember Fit Kor Kor was there with his "special" 07 tuna from Seiya... Banana was there as well.



We were admiring the bracelet from Yobokies, I think is Fit kor kor put on his 07 tuna.



And I think is either Big Boss or Watchlooker treat us drink...

Thanks Ivan, let's nail some of these.



1. Venue, we need a big space with sitting areas but it should not too public as well, for safety reasons and there's a tendency to invite a lot of curious stares and weird passer bys.



2. Let's make it on a Sat afternoon to evening timing on the month of April.



3. Definitely open to everybody in the forum. We always have the same group of people in our past gatherings. We have grew quite a big, so all new members are very much welcome. :)



4. Bring your poisons. :lol: However, do note for safety reasons, you may not want to bring every single watch out, in the case of mix up or whatever other reasons.



Btw, Herz bro has very good suggestion to form a committee to arrange for this event, I can't do it alone, we also can't take in everybody's input, too many cooks spoil the soup :lol:



I will make contact with some of you that I already know, I welcome any volunteers too. The more the merrier. ;)

also I see that nothing is concrete yet,other than time/date(one of april's saturday) but before we recce the selected type of venue...we may have to decide ;



A---to arrange for catering food to a spacious venue(just need good lightings,tables n chairs since got cater food)

B---just find any restaurant,coffee house and order finger food n drinks

C---or just a venue with table,chairs,good lightings? food not impt..



IMO easier cos if we all agree..then just move toward the A,B or C choice rather than scouting around ..

I like botak jones @tp but I don't think the lighting condition there is suitable to view watches. :(

venue- either a Condo Function room is feasible but somewhere central location as members are all over the island,lol

or a SC bro house which can accomodate at least 15-20pax, food is not primary, we can just order delivery or we can do a potluck session.
