so this new model is more ex than the Mako

I bought my Mako (non-Ray) from skywatches for less than $150 2 years ago... Are these new Rays (which are just new dial / hand / bezel combo's with a new case back etching) really worth 2x that?? :? :?

Do a side by side comparison and review with the MM300 when your 300M arrives!

No need to review, i've handled both, the orient 300m is nowhere near the Seiko mm300. It's quite a rough watch, and I'll never pay big time's discounted price (2k+ region) for one.

Spotted a lot of old Seiko, but they were not in your wanted list. Also saw a lot of new quartz seiko such as tuna, sawtooth, all colors, priced at about sgd300-3000 equivalent. Also found plenty of old submarine, ship, aircraft clocks, of various country of make. Lucky I not into clocks :mrgreen:

Only hooted a couple of NOS g-shocks and a new Rolex gmt2c, and posted one of them DW5900 up in sales section see if anyone wants. The other one is a glide model, offset to one side like frogman.

Saw the Ray also recently, looks like Omega Seamaster Professional and Rolex Submariner, not like the Mako, which looks retro but doesn't resemble anything.

Nice chunky macho dress watch, but the S$260 price is quite off-putting.
