yah sometimes, beer on tap(then into jug) is watered down, not as gassy. I'm not a fan of Tiger jug or from bottle... gives me lots of gas the next day.



Prefer Heineken, even carlsberg is better. I still prefer stout or ale such as Kilkenny's.



For Foster, its probably lowest in my pecking order. Went to a pub once and ordered a jug, the beer damn bitter and the after-taste was awful! Its no coincidence that Fosters is made in Australia but even the Australians dont drink it. :|[/quote]

No one in Australia drinks fosters... It's a marketing scheme to keep the Americans away from the good Aussie beers. :lol: :lol:



I dont drink as much as I would like, but I do like Crown Lager and James Boag (Tasmanian beer).

At dinner I normally choose hoegarden if I do drink.



My recent trip to Beijing, I tried the Tsing Tao beer. Not too bad, price so cheap!

dark chocolates and stouts make a great pairing for tasting sessions


Where can we get these chocolates. Any lobangs?

excellent chocolates! theres a chocolate shop at icon village ( tanjong pagar) that sells them , first floor

about $8-$9 for a big bar, single origin plantation chocolates.pop by and take a look! or can get it for you if u want , its just beside my office

drinking rochefort 10 now , one of my favs , simply an amazing beer! notes of dark fruits , raisin , caramel , burnt sugars , coffee, very smooth on the palette , great head great lacing , served on a trappist glass

lindemans framboise ,in to a shiraz glass , pours a deep red , translucent with some sediments of yeast / berries. aroma of fresh berries , a bit of malt , cant detect any hops at all

maintains a 2 cm pink head , very frothy with small bubbles , beautiful lacing



taste starts sweet then finishes with a nice tart aftertaste . . the flavour of the rasberries is very natural and does not have the artificial taste that those cheap rasberry drinks have.



i would have prefered a more pronounced beer presence and more yeasty funk. would go well with deserts , this is definitely a ladies drink , they wont even know its beer!



one of very few lambics i have tried , will try to get hold of a cantillon , i heard thats what a true lambic is all about!
