fireal zeh zeh, i oso cannot take tiger, everytime lim liao will have headache..i only take Hoegaarden for now but the after-effect(nxt day) is will be sibeh dry & thirsty..



i prefer abit fruity one leh..

not a beer lover, but tiger in bottle or jugs served in pubs taste quite different..... anybody notice??

yeah, pubs Tiger is definitely diff from off the shelves bottles/cans



actually Guiness Draught oso not bad but knn, oso have side-effect for me, sure pimple outbreak after a few days later.. :evil:

Guinness Draught and Stout for me. I was wearing a Guinness green Tee when we met at CSC! Not young enough to have pimples though.

Other than that my weapons of choice are shots and malt-based liquor

fruity beers you can try timmermans ... got those rasberry beer etc flavour .. but usually more of a ladies drink :oops: :oops:

green bottles dont block out uv light ,...the uv light breaks down the hop component in the beer ( one of the main ingredients) and give it a skunky taste

im particularly into michel cluizel , dagoba, valrhona vintage , bonnat , amano, amedei







dark chocolates and stouts make a great pairing for tasting sessions

yah sometimes, beer on tap(then into jug) is watered down, not as gassy. I'm not a fan of Tiger jug or from bottle... gives me lots of gas the next day.



Prefer Heineken, even carlsberg is better. I still prefer stout or ale such as Kilkenny's.



For Foster, its probably lowest in my pecking order. Went to a pub once and ordered a jug, the beer damn bitter and the after-taste was awful! Its no coincidence that Fosters is made in Australia but even the Australians dont drink it. :|

i hate tiger .. i always refuse it when offered.... the so called tiger crystal is not any better

hoppy and skunky with a weird detergent taste., the reason why people drinking it close to freezing cold so that a lot of these nasty flavours are masked





a good trappist brew , will explode in your mouth with all the complex flavours of raisins , bread, cinammon , apple , candied apples , carbonation is very refreshing, hop is very balanced and non intrusive... usually drink it at cool temperature ( take out from chiller and let it rest half hour) to really allow the flavours to shine through

Initally, tiger has been my choice till I was introduced to Henekein and Carsberg. Aabout 1.5 years ago, I started to drink Ashahi which turn out quite well for me. As age catches up, I am going into Indian Pale ale and also assortment of imported Begium and Geman beers.



Hmm, I was wondering, we can have a beer festa at ICE Cold beer....:)

Initally, tiger has been my choice till I was introduced to Henekein and Carsberg. Aabout 1.5 years ago, I started to drink Ashahi which turn out quite well for me. As age catches up, I am going into Indian Pale ale and also assortment of imported Begium and Geman beers.

In UK pple pay a premium to drink Tiger. In Denmark, nobody I met drank Carlsberg or Tuborg. But people here pay more for these imported beers, Im guessing cos Tiger is associated with ah peks at coffeeshops.



Got a taste for dark beer when I was working in Switzerland and only drank Feldschlossen Dunkel. Nowadays just go Alley/Acid Bar area for $9.90 Erdinger Dark during happy hour 8-)



I dont mind joining in if there's a beer outing :)

Yup...I would prefer ice cold beer because of the music, wide selections of beers and

Lots of mei mei and OLs. Is HH time....give a man a beer!!

happy Daze overpriced leh. I used to go there quite often but after they raised prices i stopped going. The lady boss there is Ann :)



Cheaper alternative is to go Joe's corner cafe @ Simon Road, Hougang. They serve Timmermans(3 flavours), Chimay and alot more imported bottled beer there.

I got that headache too, and like you, i prefer Hoegaarden!

yes, they are expensive. their prices reflect the rental rates in the area in general.



Joe's at Simon? That's not too far for me also, and parking is easy!

Anyone know where you can get a Dogfish Head IPA? I had a 90-minute IPA in the states when Ibwas there, and just lived it... Pump Room IPA is interesting too; I'd put Brewerkz XIPA in there as well, but their pricing gets a bit crazy...



Or a Little Creatures Imperial Stout, wanted to try that for a while... Or any other decent Stout? The Brewerkz Stout is the only one which is somewhat appealing (but again, pricing...).



Erdinger Dark and Guinness are decent, not bad alternatives.

share my good drinking habits





--> 1. never drink straight out of a bottle / can , not enjoying the full process --> look , smell , touch , taste

--> 2. never drink from a frozen mug , condensed water vapour mixed into your beer = bad idea

--> 3. never drink ice cold beer , doesnt allow the flavours to open... unless you are drinking tiger detergent beer then yea cold better

--> 4. use proper glassware depending on the style of the beer .....

--> 5. for bottle conditioned beer , decant the beer!

--> 6. take a moment to savour the beer , roll it around your tongue , feel the effervescence , the sexplosion of flavours , the lingering after taste....

--> 7. drink quality beer .... i rather pay $10 for a good beer then drink 3 bad ones for $10

I frequent Pauls pretty often!

There's a period where the dark was..... pretty bad but it's due to a change in the brewmaster.

It's back to normal since then! haha!

Yes!!! Nothing like fresh beer from the tap. Mixing white and black Erdinger also not that bad :)
