Hey guys, this was posted in edmw's seiko thread last week i think. Just want to share they have some spare dials for the "50 fathoms" homage if anyone is interested.

yes there are still some leftovers. i already ordered a piece from him. it's usd25 a pop, shipping included. he told me there are a few more remaining. now i'm having a headache over to get the silver or gold version of the watch.

Cooliend, I think why $45 is bcoz they got Harold to produce 18 pieces for the first batch. I guess cost is high for so little pieces.

18 pieces? think i read in the thread somewhere the first batch consists of 40 pieces. is usd45 expensive for a dial? luckily i read the news of the leftover dials before i transferred 45 over. ;)



now i need to find the watch then decide if i'm going with a rubber or leather strap. it looks kinda good on a brush brown leather strap as seen in

Oh yah 1st batch 40 pieces, 2nd batch 18 pieces.



Well if it's 25 from Jake, why 45 ? Unless there's a different method of production ?



Now to wait for the dial and find the watch lol.

Even original Seiko dials do not cost usd45. And I've bought 3 new original Seiko dials so far.



From my experience, harold's parts are a little more ex. And I think jake's lume work is better.



Can't wait to get mine. But no bullets now to get the watch to mod :(

If rubber I think it looks good on the isofrane strap, but dunno how much is that strap. The original bracelet is quite solid too.

My mod using sbbn007 dial. I got brand new from Rob for abt Eur30+ iirc. At that time euro was low, now euro going up again.

30+euro is about same as 40+usd.. still cheaper than the 45usd for a mod dial from yobokies.

and this is brand new original dial from Seiko.

SBBN007 dial is swee mah.... IMO better value than the mod dial.... but the mod dial is one of a kind wor.... but at USD45 gotta think twice lor..... :oops:

Got a spare beadblasted skx case and bracelet lying around.... think of what to do with it :?:









Am opt for something unique and one of a kind..... so far nothing catch my fancy for a mod yet.... any idea.... :lol: :lol:
