yeah, i got mine from thomas as well. Nice guy to deal with. But mine came without cert and printing on the box. Nonetheless, still a great value

I've handled one before. It's a nice watch overall, the 'vintage' look is there. maybe I'm a sucker for 3-9 subdial chronograph so I liked the dial layout. The blue hands are also a plus point for me as well as the T-pushers :twisted:

one issue with it. The QC for this watch is not really fantastic. My fren's watch had a huge dirt on the 2 o'clock area.

sinner1974 one is worse,LOL. But his is really one of a kind example :lol:

Same as u the blue hands attracted me. But the best is that its a vintage design. I guess I am the sucker for that. my previous watch was a PRS-50 which is like fifty fathoms homage....lol

I saw another one on seagull USA website, appears to have certificate, individual serialized and close to the original but very expensive...but funny hands...

So this watch is good for the money i will be paying eh? It sits high on the wrist i suppose? any problem under long sleeve?

I don't mind a small watch. my quartz swiss army is only 36mm.

also worn a 44mm watch before...i remember sold to lunarin79? lol i wonder if its still running....

so far my research tells me that the airforce reissue is sort of like OEM watch. I was able to find other dials on wus with different colour and etc etc

44mm is the grey sterile dial pilot rite,lol

it's in banana's hand now iirc :)

yeah thats the one. lol with banana....maybe already sold! Hope its still ticking...lol

that watch actually gave me confidence on chinese watches hahahaah.

so actually besides seiko, i was looking at sea gull as well. This 1963 reissue (mechanical chronograph! i cant afford a 7750 for now...) and also the 819.351 on seagull USA website with ST2130 (for the 28800bph!) Both watches seemed to have good reivews on WUS. However the 1963 reissue like really got QC problems...

i tink overall depends on heng suay, for the reissue airforce ;)

Seagull are generally reliable brand :)

Most ppl always have some misgiving about china made watch.... dun forget the high quality replica lolex etc usually house china made movt. The ST19 mechanical movt in the 1963 is quite good and robust..... perhaps some QC need to be tighten up even if they did.... once in a while a defective one will pop up..... no 100% one lah......

Also, it is not a flyback so you will need to stop the chrono function before reset to "zero". Proper handling of the movt is necessary! ;)

for me I think the quality is acceptable since I had experience with china movement before. the movement is surprisingly accurate.

but still i've havent spent over 100 on a china mechnical yet. needs more confidence so is very careful before buying lol.

yeah I googled for ST19 before. came accross on what you said about the movement as well...also it is Based on the venus 175...then they say is a column wheel movement...which i still dont understand what it meant lololol...but interesting stuffs to dig when i am free.
