WUS F71 SM300 project goes live!!!




Tentative renders. Finalize pictures subjected to change depending on votes on different areas of design.

Generally, the decided specs will be:

- SEIKO NH35 aka 4R35 will be used.

- based on Lew and Huey's Orthos.

At the later stage, you can choose to have date or not. Now the first vote is on the type of bezel design.

I'm much more interested to know will there be a Blue + Vintage lume version. This is why i had not place my deposit yet, as according to the info posted in the General Discussion thread, currently the options are limited to the 2 renders above... Certainly, those can be change like the option of date or no date in the later stage.

The renders look nice. However i,m not impressed by any of lew and huey,s watch designs so i,m wondering how this would turn out. I would be all over it if it was based on the steinhart ocean 1 though :) haha!!

Didn't the orthos suffer from issues with the crown needing to be worked at certain angles in order to function or something?

I have been following that thread for a while, interesting project, but too many ideas flying around.

I have my eyes set on something else, Christmas present I hope.

Forum project is like that one lah... everybody expects a perfect combo which is hidden in their heart... that's why there will often be roughly 20% of participants pull out near 80% of finalizing stage.

Think i will go for the Borealis version. Don't quite like L&H and how defensive the fanboys get about the brand, pricing, quality and service.

Well the L&H is at least 350USD++ and i am unwilling to pay a 50USD deposit when the final design and price is yet to be fixed.

If the Borealis is close to 400USD..at least it will be a 9015 ticking in there..

They offered the scorpion fish at 300 when crepas charge a fair bit more.

Hopefully Maria will continue in that direction. The spec really looks good though.

Copy from Borealis forum:

All that made a purchase (from 1st of September 2015 onwards) on our store prior making a pre-order for any of the watches will be granted an additional discount - 15 % at checkout.

Coupon code is the order number you have placed in shopping cart.

It is a one time off offer and can only be used once and only by original member that placed order.



Apparently straps purchase will be consider as a valid purchase and stock will be back soon.
