Helberg CH8

This is my second purchase from this German company, H20 Watch.

The owner Clemens has developed a reputation of providing top quality product which of very good value for the money you paid.



I first know about H20 when i come across the pre-order thread in WUS two years ago for CH6. Was then craving for a bronze diver and the price/spec offered I felt was really value for money.



Before you know it, Clemens comes out with CH8 that is even more exiting.

Is a rendition of his favorite divers from the 70s, Breil Manta 100 and comes with both bronze and SS version.



Since I already got a bronze CH6, I have decided to take the SS version with the black/orange colored sapphire bezel.

Using the now popular Miyota 9015, CH8 also comes with water resistance to 1000m (grossly overkill for this desk diver) and not one but two HEV (cannot have enough of good thing).



As per his previous offering, there is also the option to choose between configuration to suit anyone preference:



Case: Bronze / SS

Bezel: Solid SS / Bronze SS (only for Bronze case) / orange black sapphire inlay / black sapphire inlay

Dial: Black (with or without date) / Blue / Olive

Handset: chrome or orange + chrome

Crystal: flat or dome



For me as a return customer, I am also rewarded with a free Horween leather strap as a bonus.

I was also able to add on a Isofrane strap at a special price. I have gone for the safe color black but is regretting not getting the orange option which I think will match very well with my black/orange bezel.

The newly design Helberg CNC buckle that comes with the stock strap is really nice and can be use on the Isofrane as well.

Actually i think price is about there, i,m comparing to the 50 atmos which i thought is the most similar in terms of design. I always liked the 50 atmos but the thing that put me off is that the logo is written so many times on the dial.

Surprising easy!



Got difficulty pulling out the crown when I try adjusting time the first try but now it is buttery too screw it off and on. Even easier compare to my CH8.

Gnomon price you have not factor in the GST yet... once you factor in... It will be a choice between Miyota 9015 and ETA2824 by a difference of about $350 or so liaoz... :shock:
