Not bad, it was neither a reissue nor original seagull watch. So a display caseback is fine.
This was based on the original 1963 and I think it's the closest to original version out there now that is readily available.
All of the new 1963 in 38mm and 42mm costing $250-$400 aren't really from seagull anymore. Only thing "seagull" about them is the movement. Hence quality is hit and miss and really depends on who does the assembly and casing.
Only official seagull reissue I know of in recent years would be the D304 which was 2-3 times more expensive.

Before the D304, there were a reissue from seagull with either 19 or 21 zuan with the TianJin Watch Factory wordings on the cream dial. Shortly, (not sure when, I think shortly when they came out with the D304) they stopped the cream dial and passed to the third party to sell it.
I do agreed yours is as close to the original but the dial is not official from TianJin or Seagul. But it is still very nice. I had a customised black one.:roll:
