Break in timing for MM300

How long did your MM300 take to break it? Mine is still running 7 to 10 sec fast a day.



Any of you send for regulation?

Havent checked.

Maybe i m not that kind of pple to care abt +/- sec per day. Can move can liao

hehe 7-10s per day is good liao la, the specs is -10s/+15s, so your watch is running well within official specs. Don't think too much, just enjoy the watch or will end up like me buy and sell....and lose $$ :cry:



Anyway i am not a believer of a break in period for mechanical watches. If a watch runs x seconds fast or slow out of box, our wear pattern will affect the +/- of it, but not by much. So unless you regulate it or subject it to shock, magnetization etc, the timing out of the box is going to be pretty much what you get.



In your case if it stays at +7 to +10s per day or +/- a few seconds either way, it will be good liao.



So the lesson i learnt is, if want to buy a relatively expensive piece like MM300 which isn't COSC or in house chronometre certified or even well regulated, be prepared for the worse or don't time the watch and just enjoy it....guess i just have an unhealthy obsession with accuracy vs money paid.

As long as it's within the manufacturer specified variation range, then it should be acceptable. I did not know there's a break in period for watches. Well it does not really bother me with a few seconds variation a day.

Yup shall learn to enjoy it then until the BBB urge comes again :D
