Looking for Seiko clear glass case back

Looking for Seiko clear glass case back
Hi all bro,

I am looking for a Seiko clear glass <see thru> case back.

I dont mind buying the watch for this parts <if its not too expensive>.

If you do have one do let me know. Thanks.

*I'll show contributor my latest 6309 project when we meet and explain why i needed it.

Thanks all for reading.
Re: Looking for Seiko clear glass case back
Bro.....if you got SKX diver caseback....i dun mind trading with you
Re: Looking for Seiko clear glass case back
Bro, no leh.

Current not on skx caseback.

I bought the 6309 case from SCWF. Its has no caseback just the case.

But its on a 7009 caseback now.

The 7009 caseback is OK if i sterile it , but i wan to showcase the movt inside.

If i can't get one here, looks like i'll hv to look for a used 7s26 dress watch instead.

I remember some time ago Mustafa was selling grey import Seiko for $40-50 only.......... think it dont exist anymore.

Anyone know which place sells the cheapest Seiko dress watch <stainless colour> ?

Thanks in advance for the information.

Mustafa export section got Seiko 5 for sgd85-90.

Quite worth coz u will oso get a brand new 7s26 movt!

If u buy caseback and movt separately, it will cost more.

U can always resell the 7s26 movt on scwf and make back some cost.

For sure 7s movt can sell.
Re: Looking for Seiko clear glass case back
Hmm....can the 7009 caseback fit onto seiko5 watch?....sorry i'm a noob in this

Re: Looking for Seiko clear glass case back
i can verify that a seiko 5 clear caseback WILL NOT fit onto the skx023 case.

i have tried this.

Re: Looking for Seiko clear glass case back
I guess buying the glass case back will be difficult.

Went to buy a cheapo Seiko Dress watch just now and solve the issue.

not bad bro... what did u do?

i am curious:

looks like a swiss movt.

did u change the stem of the 6309 crown?

the crown tube of the case looks different. did u remove it?

do u have a side profile shot with the clear caseback - does it sit high on the case?

what dial did u use?

SIC more peektures!
Re: Looking for Seiko clear glass case back
YES !! very sharp eye !!

Its been said that its IMPOSSIBLE ! ETA conversion on 6309.

Its been said that its IMPOSSIBLE ! Tri-lock conversion on 6309.

Its incomplete at the moment. Its not nice to show-case now.

Sneak sneak details are .........Its a Swiss ETA Movt and tri-lock conversion on a 6309-7040.

This is actually my 2nd 6309 conversion.

*the first one was a 6309-7290 with a non-traditional modern Seiko VX43 quartz and tri-lock conversion.

bro sellwatch has seen it before lastly when i collected the crystal from him.

Its should be complete in the next 2-3 weeks time.
Re: Looking for Seiko clear glass case back
Seeing is believing !!

Thats why i wanted a see-thru back case !

*This conversion must be completed by Sept for a meet in HK.

Re: Looking for Seiko clear glass case back
Not i do want. I got no such machinery. and expertise.

Its a family's friend who is watch biz and also keen to help me fulfill my "stupid request".
Re: Looking for Seiko clear glass case back
My expertise only pay $ , than bring back home and polish polish.....nia.

this was a 'transplant' i tried to do some time back, but never finish coz movt suddenly stopped (and its not the batt).

it was my dad's SQ Twin Quartz but the gp case was pitted.

i had a spare seiko 5 case and and thought it would be unique to 'showcase' the old skool quartz movt.

everything was good and i only had to transplant the stem to the seiko 5 crown. then the movt stopped.

i still hv not figured out how to remove the stem from crown (without breaking the stem).

one of these days, i will try to troubleshoot the quartz movt to see what is wrong..

the dial is actuall gold and the indexes are 'sunk' in like sandwich dial on Pam.. looks quite nice

display back..

Re: Looking for Seiko clear glass case back
Wah.... expert modder...... can teach me a thing or two or not.....
Re: Looking for Seiko clear glass case back
wow, cool transplant.

Yeah....... it sure needs a new case !
Re: Looking for Seiko clear glass case back
