Tuna &

Tuna &
Hi all,

I am new to this forum and just got my hand on my first tuna Sbbn007 and deeply in love with it.

Just wanted to get more information on the Emperor Tuna as it is gonna be my 2nd Tuna.

will need all bros guidance before i am gonna lay SGD3k on a seiko..

looking forward to all your feedbacks and advises...

Cheers!!
Re: Tuna &
Not necessary to buy new. There are mint condition preowned ones appearing quite often on watch forums if you feel like saving a few hundred bucks. Good luck.
Re: Tuna &
If it were me, I would get the Spring Drive tuna instead as I wana try a SD watch. But of course, it will be more expensive.
Re: Tuna &
Get a preowned emperor.. Damage will be lower unless it is meant for keeper..

Start slow.. Slowly moving up the level.. so many tunas to play with..
Re: Tuna &
I think can get used emperor tuna for a bit below 3k? 2.5 to 2.8k?

But would rather pay a bit more for the spring drive tuna...
Re: Tuna &
Other forum got one selling 2.7k

Sorry for the typos..am using auto correction.
Re: Tuna &
Thanks guys..

i ordered a new one from Big Time as i dont think i will be selling it..

i like the gold/black SD but that is wayyyyyyyy over my budget..

last offer i got 2nd hand was 2.8K for EMP Tuna & 3.8K for a SD :)
Re: Tuna &
And 1 more thing, can anyone advise how to get a picture posted in the forum??

Re: Tuna &
I have seen some tunas on the net going for difference of 100

One has the word marinemaster, and the other without the wordings

One has a luminous mini ring on the outer 12, 6 & 9 indicators hence

my confusion.

Anyone got an explanation on the difference?

Re: Tuna &
Buying new - give you feeling of a virgin watch. More expensive.

Buying used - somehow you think she's been used and been manhandled by another. Save at least a little usually.

Buying the emperor after the quartz, there is a big heft difference. Especially between the 300m and the 1000M. Less so between the 1000m quartz vs auto.

The Emperor is like an all DLC watch but the historical or a 6159 adds that little bit of SS to the watch IMO.

End of the day, if you have a chance to try it first, that's the best. And always buy what you like not what others like or what they say has best resale. ;)
Re: Tuna &

The 4 auto tunas.

6159 m

6159 non m

Sbdx005 - historical

Sbdx011 - emperor

I still hv the RS one :)

Roo... I had two isofrane buckle (IN & RS) custom coated with the same Ti Nitride like on the Gold tuna.

Perfect match to the watch. :)
Re: Tuna &
Yeah.... I checked back isofrane site, they only have SS buckles in the shop, although there's a black one on display. :(

There is an aftermarket one currently only 22mm with Aluminium Bronze, Brushed and Polished. Not cheap but decent workmanship. All 22mm only. Here are some pics of the Alu.

Fits only Iso type straps. So if you don't have one, I'd not recommend it.
Re: Tuna &
Oh man, very nice GOLD tuna!!! :o i am poisoned!! Anyone selling??
