I used to post out NATO straps. You pay like 10 bucks and only cost me 50 cents to post, but sometimes you have to impose a higher fee for time spent and other logistics :)I don't know what's in that $30 option but I think somebody asked before he don't seems to entertain self collect and prefer to ship. (If that's the same seller)
Arranging timing and location for collection can be a real hassle sometimes.

Usually if i see a local seller, be it a private or a commercial one, charges sky rocket price for shipping even within domestically, i will just pass.
There are other sellers out there.

in Singapore delivery is via Singpost Registered Parcel but user will charge USD$10
AND, user will charge 7% GST on your order + shipping total.
this was based on an order earlier this year. hopefully it is still accurate.

Oh yes, because apparently the seller said the weight of all the boxes and manuals, etc could weigh up to a kilo so he imposed a $28 USD fee on the shipment(for Asia)
Practically a way to earn more money for the seller lol:D

Have to contact and inform you are in Sg so that a revised amount is sent to you. But then again, the 7% GST imposed make me decide that it will be some time before I will buy again from this seller

I bought from them some years back for an eco-drive perpetual calender. It was pretty funny in that I asked for meetup so that I can pay in cash and save on shipping and they save on the Paypal transaction fees.
Agreed to pay the GST as they need to pay the taxes if the watches were not re-exported, so it was only fair to them.
Was communicating with one of partners in the business, and asked to meet up, and he asked where, I said anywhere is fine, and he asked if can meet at MRT/Bus interchange in my estate ? , I was like "Excellent, I stay there !! "
Next thing I know ... was actually talking to my same block neighbour, whom I've known for the longest time !!! :lol:
But he has since left the business and pursuing his interest in the healthcare industry.
I'm not sure if they still operate by the same business practices but I would suggest the approach I took as its a win-win for both parties so it might still work though. ;)

excellent.. Maybe next time I'll try this is I ever win any bid for their watches.

Would suggest asking them before bidding. No point getting sore or bitter if it doesn't work out after that though.
It's ok. I always factor in the official shipping cost to the max amount I'm willing to bid. Any saving after that is considered a bonus.
