Seiko and Thailand are like holding hands is it?

Seiko and Thailand are like holding hands is it?
As I learn more about Seiko, I discovered that Thailand has a lot of crazy nice limited edition exclusive to their kingdom.

WTF WTH?! Stuff like SRP501 which is awesome is not availble to us?

Well, the distributor there probably is very proactive in promoting Seiko as a brand and most definitely guarantees certain quantities of sales for these limited edition watches, thereby Seiko Japan agrees to these production runs.

I'm quite sure Seiko Japan can be guaranteed a 1000 piece sales of a limited model ( just cosmetic differences with very little if not no changes in tooling) sold at a premium, hence they agreed.

In SG, I doubt there is a big enough market to move 300~500 pieces of a particular model without re-exporting overseas.

Hence, it can't and doesn't work here. Its a very similar situation with many other stuff such as sports equipment whereby there are country specific special colour combinations in Indo / Thailand but not in SG.

The addressable market is just so small here :(
