where to buy the cheapest seiko 5 SNZF17K1 in SG?

where to buy the cheapest seiko 5 SNZF17K1 in SG?
Hey watch lover bros/sis,

I'm new to the forum and um I was wondering where to find the cheapest possible Seiko 5 SNZF17K1 in Singapore? (Known as sea urchin apparently)

No nonsense like buy online please...

I really love Seiko watches for their design and durability but I'm also on budget

So I thought to register on this forum to ask. Sorry if I didn't know a existing thread is created before this.
where to buy the cheapest seiko 5 SNZF17K1 in SG?
Or actually any cheaper Seiko that looks like the submariner? I'm not praising Rolex's sub but their sub design is quite nice
Re: where to buy the cheapest seiko 5 SNZF17K1 in SG?
I think the urchin is the cheapest? You can try bencoolen for local thong sia warranty set or Mustafa export counter for 水货 with no warranty which should be the cheapest from an actual store.

Cheapest price doesn't mean the goods are avail. Cheapest price depends a lot on luck & affinity. Ask the folks about the infamous A-cube, the owner promises the sky about some dirt cheap price, but it's NEVER available. What you should be persuing is "fair price" and "good after service" for a peace of mind. My bet? K2 of course. I got my PVD urchin from there at a fair price. :)
Re: where to buy the cheapest seiko 5 SNZF17K1 in SG?
k2 or twinkle
Re: where to buy the cheapest seiko 5 SNZF17K1 in SG?
Its already so cheap.... How many dollars can discount further.....
Re: where to buy the cheapest seiko 5 SNZF17K1 in SG?
Sorry lor no money mah. But could someone estimate what price will it be or does someone know? I saw this forum saying that can negotiate with Mr goh one leh?

usually is nett price, mr goh dun really entertain bargaining
Re: where to buy the cheapest seiko 5 SNZF17K1 in SG?
Mustafa export section and Mr Goh are your best bets for sea urchin. But, I would rather buy from Mr Goh because there is either Thong Sia or shop warranty.
Re: where to buy the cheapest seiko 5 SNZF17K1 in SG?
I see... Thanks guys. But do u guys have the price range for it?

This could give you an idea to benchmark.

Skywatches has it listed for SGD182 with a bracelet and 164.49 with a rubber strap. Note price is w/o gst

No money as u put it, then you should do more homework.

Whats wrong suggesting to buy online.

I dun see it as nonsense lo.

A fair number here had bought from skywatch, watch wagon or creation watch using their online portal.

Basically , you found the model and start asking price range?

Or did you find out who was selling wat price where??

Still back to wat you quote. No money, then do some research and make your money worth lah.

Google is just a few click away.

Re: where to buy the cheapest seiko 5 SNZF17K1 in SG?
Skywatches is selling Sea Urchin with stainless steel bracelet at S$182.20 excluding GST. Use this as benchmark.
Re: where to buy the cheapest seiko 5 SNZF17K1 in SG?
I think it's quite rude to say "buying online nonsense", you are asking for help so be more humble.

I bought a Bambino at $156 online from Creation Watches, this is much cheaper than physical shop price of about $220, so where is the nonsense?

wat i can only say that if u got limited budget, pls go do a research thru all the local forum like seiko club, swx, sgrolexclub and etc or apps like carousell to get a feel on the price and not opening a thread here and expect straight to be spoon feed.

if u feel ur budget is not there then i think u're not ready to step into mechanical watches.save ur money for something else more useful in life.

all the bro in this forum is helpful but tat does not means u can take advantage of them.

we all learn thru a long way sharing info, discussion and etc with each other.give and take and not take without giving.

not coming in here as a newbie and expecting members to go all out and feed u.

we can only teach u how to fish and not fishing for u.if ur mentality is as such then this forum is not for u.

Chill guys, I don't think the bro has any ill intention. Internet language can certainly cause some misunderstanding...
Re: where to buy the cheapest seiko 5 SNZF17K1 in SG?
Buying online is a great option.
Re: where to buy the cheapest seiko 5 SNZF17K1 in SG?
Sorry guys. Maybe the way I said it kinda made it look rude... No ill intentions here. Was in a rush just now so what description of words that came out I just typed. Chill guys :/

Thx for understanding me telepgm. And the reason I didn't like to buy online was because of a incident that happened years ago.(eBay)
Re: where to buy the cheapest seiko 5 SNZF17K1 in SG?
Honestly easiest to just check skywatch, creation watch as bench mark.
Re: where to buy the cheapest seiko 5 SNZF17K1 in SG?
I remember reading online about this watch shop at serangoon called tong hin. I tried to research more but it seems like it isn't that well known so there was no given address. Did anyone go to tong hin before?
Re: where to buy the cheapest seiko 5 SNZF17K1 in SG?
There's a where to buy article, go read it up, call the shops and ask for the price or spend the PH tomorrow visiting them.

We don't visit the shops everyday and note down every single model prices and have it at the back of our head, you should enjoy the process of shopping.

Skywatches sgd182 (before gst) is made in china. K2 sgd180 (nett) is made in japan... go figure...
Re: where to buy the cheapest seiko 5 SNZF17K1 in SG?
Most of my watches are bought online. Important thing is you have to be aware that it's grey market. As long you accepted that, then it's not nonsense.
Re: where to buy the cheapest seiko 5 SNZF17K1 in SG?
Oh and K or J actually no diff in quality la. I don't buy into J is manufactured in Japan.

K Made in China? That's the first for me. Malaysia, Thailand & Singapore assembly I have heard of, but not China. Even so, so what? What's not made in China these days. My Obris Morgan is proudly made in China.
Re: where to buy the cheapest seiko 5 SNZF17K1 in SG?
There is an army of CNC machinists for hire in southern China. They do everything from milling to lathe etc at the lowest price possible.

Very soon all the Malaysian production may move there as well as the current batch of machinsts in Malaysia are all imported from India or semi-skilled from Nepal. They cost more.
Re: where to buy the cheapest seiko 5 SNZF17K1 in SG?
My bad... I assumed non-Japan is automatically from China. If no difference, would you pay top dollar for MIC Rolex, supposed if Rolex really were to move their factory to China? Or how about GS that is MIC? Sure there's no difference?
Re: where to buy the cheapest seiko 5 SNZF17K1 in SG?
It takes about 5 years to train a machinists into an exprt... another 10 years to make him a craftsman.

So doesn't matter if it's angmo hands or china hands or chocolate hands. It's the skill behind the tools... not the race or location.

Japanese probably seem better as they have much higher standards of quality.

perceived-value indeed. :( it's what hinders an industry from moving ahead from time to time.

Frankly if the quality is the same it doesn't matter to me where a watch or other product is made. Sadly Rolex will never move to China, that will be suicide. GS? same thing. But I do dare to say that for many of the brands out there, e.g. Omega is rumoured to source parts of their watches to China or HK, just that final assembly, checks are carried out in Switzerland and more than 50% value is Swiss. The notion that Swiss made watch is truly really made by Swiss in Swiss in its entirety is a fantasy, at least for much of the mid tier and lower tier brands.

It's just that most Swiss players are being very opaque about this.

But it's a matter of time before more and more low to mid tier watch companies out source.

Your hypothesis is very unlikely. Rolex & GS are very highend luxury goods are the pride of the Swiss & Japanese alike. Moving their plant out of their respective home country is "suicidal" to themselves. The price point of a sea-urchin compared to the most entry level Rolex, is simply too wide. Alas, it's not a good comparison, imho.
Re: where to buy the cheapest seiko 5 SNZF17K1 in SG?
if u search hard enough, one can find good deal ok!

Re: where to buy the cheapest seiko 5 SNZF17K1 in SG?
I think we are off topic but i wana add on.

I'm quite sure my Daikin aircon was made in Japan and it is still working fine for more than 10 years already. I can't speak the same for my neighbour upstairs coz he changed his aircon 3 times already.

My Honda Civic is made in Japan, the headlights never develop "cataract", lol, just look at those made in Thailand Corollas and Camry, their headlights are mostly yellowish.

May be there is quite a lot of truth that MIJ is much better.

nicely quoted. If the price difference is minimal & a K & a J is readily side by side - I'll likely take the J too. :p
Re: where to buy the cheapest seiko 5 SNZF17K1 in SG?

Agreed. Even most of my Ikea utensils are from China.

China doesnt mean bad quality. Depends on the quality control that is.
Re: where to buy the cheapest seiko 5 SNZF17K1 in SG?
China products rocks! I swear by them daily.
