Hi Bros,

Know any shops here that allows installment plans? I remember City Chain does allow. What about Sincere Time, Seiko Boutique and G Factory etc?

Re: Shops that allow installment plans
All Watches allow installment plan by credit card payment. Usually it's 12 month payment scheme. No surcharge.
Re: Shops that allow installment plans
All the major boutiques allow credit card instalment plans, some may be mean and offer less discount if u use instalment plans.

Don't get me started on hour glass service. I am too poor to patronize them and am always treated like 2nd class customer. No buy high end boutique brand from them means their attitude is your business is 可有可无。

Thanks for the advice Ivan :) But just checking only :p

Seiko Boutique not sure if have. Last time I bought my Astron from them (2 plus years ago) they don't offer so gave them cash.

Re: Shops that allow installment plans
I was told by my credit card company previously that we can arrange with the CC company to pay our purchases by instalments. May be TS can check with CC co.

Re: Shops that allow installment plans
If you swipe first and arrange for installments payment with the respective CC/bank. Usually 3 -5% surcharge applies. Best is to have it charge to an installment plan from the retailer's end.

E.g.: there is more discount buying omega from Watches of Swizterland using their 2 yr installment plan. Because Omega's discount is quite controlled.

there are also smaller shop which i came across in Far East and Lucky Plaza that charges a small percentage fee (usually 3-7%) if you pay via CC.
Re: Shops that allow installment plans
Quite frankly, my opinion is that this is a hobby/luxury. One shouldn't "stretch" his/her finances unless its absolutely a necessity.

Or that you already have that amount of spare cash to go around but feel that you can get better returns from using that cash elsewhere for the time being. AND that you can repay that installment at any instance when called upon.

So unless that's the scenario, I wouldn't advocate installment plans for such items. Take it nice and slow, its part of the joy of hobbies. Instant gratification doesn't mean you get the most enjoyment out of such things in the long term.

Its just my opinion, no offence intended.
Re: Shops that allow installment plans
Plus 1000!

Very sound advice.
Re: Shops that allow installment plans
Haha yup good advice I agree!
Re: Shops that allow installment plans
Good advice...But got cash I will also charge to card first just to either enjoy discount, rebate and accumulate points.....

But do remember should u apply for a loan, your monthly card repayments are taken into account when calculating your total debt ratio, even if you clear all outstanding very month

Re: Shops that allow installment plans
Thats very true about the total debt ratio but I guess most of us is not going to purchase a piece that will cost so much that it really affects the credit rating?

100k watches anyone?

I also agree and do just put aside the money earmarked for the watch or whatever Tv or washing machine o hifi that I put on intallment. That is unless they give me a further discount if I pay in full and in cash.
Re: Shops that allow installment plans
