Is isoframe rubber much different from other cheaper rubber strap? Can't convince myself to spend so much on a rubber strap.

Silicone is different from rubber. Silicone is very soft and picks up lint like a magnet. The rubber is stiffer and does not attract lint. The rubber is superior to the silicone both in feel and strenght. To me silicone is a cheap substitute for rubber. I know many others love silicone but I prefer rubber. The best rubber is what is called Italian rubber (some sellers call their silicone straps Italian rubber) but the real stuff has a trademark vanilla smell. It seems most High end watch companies use rubber instead of silicone for thier straps except for Sinn, no idea why they went with that? They probably were able to have them made very cheap in comparison to rubber.

Since I 'started' this thread, I guess I have to give an update.



My Tsunami on the orange strap.







Just came in today, and I'm no connoisseur of rubber straps, but this is pretty comfortable and quite thick and substantial. No smells to report, including the (cloying) vanilla smell.



The buckle is a little too big though. Sticks out quite a lot.



All in all, I am as satisfied with these as with my Bonneto Cinturini.

My Tsunami on the orange strap.







Just came in today, and I'm no connoisseur of rubber straps, but this is pretty comfortable and quite thick and substantial. No smells to report, including the (cloying) vanilla smell.



The buckle is a little too big though. Sticks out quite a lot.



All in all, I am as satisfied with these as with my Bonneto Cinturini.


Does the strap able to fit in spring bar for sardines?

Not sure. I didn't try to fit the fat spring bars, but the thin ones can slide in easily.

Here's mine, 5 pieces arrived yesterday. 1 on SRP234, 1 on sea urchin, 1 on SBBN007 tuna, 1 on SRP227 & 1 on skx031 seiko submariner.







Quality wise as what bro germy_wermy mentioned this is pretty comfortable and quite thick and substantial. No smells to report, including the (cloying) vanilla smell.



The buckle is damn solid, full solid metal and thick.



If you ask me, it's quite VFM if u order more as u can do a combine shipping if not if u order only 1 strap the shipping is USD$10.



The strap is able to take fat spring bar if KY lubricant is used, if not it's quite difficult to squeeze it in as the friction plays a part.

Yah. How is it compare to Seiko rubber too.



I didn't like rubber straps becox of the bad experience with "rubber" silicon straps. Then isofrane blew me away.



They come bundled with some watches that's how I ended up with it. I won't spend that amount fora new strap too.



This seems to be a good affordable alternative.

Here's my 017 on the strap.







@roo7 Haven't tried the Seiko rubber straps, but for the price, I do not have many complaints. Doesn't smell strongly of rubber as I have seen mentioned elsewhere, and not greasy and doesn't make my wrist sweat. Love the isofrane look.



@kermit e froggy and @funky_banana So far no lint attracted. :)



However, for the price, I would recommend Bonetto Cinturini straps over these, if you don't mind the cloying vanilla smell.

i think he meant comparing with bonetto strap, not bonetto straps has isofrane style.



bonetto straps is quite thin. I have the model 321 in 24mm, if the watch head is heavy, it will slip to the side of ur wrist.the strap not really able to support it.
