Either that we have postmen that like to mod seiko. Maybe check with Mr Goh if he know any postman that engage his services lately.
Re: 10watches not shipping to sgp
Fishy.
Re: 10watches not shipping to sgp
Given what I have experienced with Singpost and some of their third party forwarders, I am not surprised.

This is an interesting comment, perhaps a further sharing of your experiences bro?

The first occurred a few years ago when I had a package that were not posted to me despite me waiting for them to show up at home. I had to physically go down to collect them at the nearest post office because they claim no one was at home despite the fact that I took leave to do it.

This has happen several times since then, and I no longer angst myself out. Just call them in 14 days after it has been sent out and ask if they can track a package to your address and see if it was delivered. If you package is not being tracked, then all you can do is pray.
Re: 10watches not shipping to sgp
Recent, I had a registered post that was not delivered to my place, not even a delivery advice even when there was people in the house. Luckily I had the tracking number and I went to the nearby post office to collect. Stink post cannot make it....
Re: 10watches not shipping to sgp
In never had a registered package or mail lost before?

I have one watch band from hk that have not arrived for a month.

I have never had a problem this vendor before.
Re: 10watches not shipping to sgp
Even Speedpost sux.

I got a package that suppose to be delivered to me that day.. waited whole day for it.. then saw the tracking system stated at about 9+pm

'failed delivery due to bad weather.'

KNS.. whole day weather is fine no rain whatsoever..

so next day..

waited and waited...

then saw the tracking system updated at 9+pm next day again..

'failed delivery due to vehicle breakdown'

WTFF lor..

I eventually got my stuff at the post office having given up on the delivery guy.
Re: 10watches not shipping to sgp
not surprise since singpost likes to screw up. i don't blame them from suspending shipping to Singapore

ask fireal and he will tell you everything about his postman.
Re: 10watches not shipping to sgp
That's a sad news for S'pore market. Can't be as bad as Our neighbours, isn't it ?

Re: 10watches not shipping to sgp
I think Singpost has nothing to do with this.

My last package from HK / China was delivered by a company called "4PX".

And they only delivered it 60+ days after the seller sent it out.
Re: 10watches not shipping to sgp
Its funny it happen. So far my shipment from Dagaz are good.

I'm the latest victim. Jacob is Very apologetic. But nothing can be done over at his end. He just "wish that my package will arrive eventually". Alamak.
Re: 10watches not shipping to sgp
Would it be better if we pay extra for EMS?

Re: 10watches not shipping to sgp
It depends on how the parcel is routed.

I and a few friends were ordering stuff from a few different sites based in the UK. All used the UK Royal Mail, apparently, they had their own courier counterpart in SG.

And strange as it was, me and 2 other friends lost parcels all in the space of 2 months. And we all feedback to the sellers.

It got so bad that after about 6 months, one of the sites decided to stop shipping to SG!

We suspect that there are thieves within the post service counterpart in SG for Royal Mail and reported likewise to them as they seem to be very specific about the type items which they were after.

Its possible in this case too.

royal mail uses a forwarder global media pte ltd or something and yes, they sucks big time.
Re: 10watches not shipping to sgp
Not sure what happened here but that sucks. EMS is slightly safer. Own experience has been ok so far and thank goodness. But singpost side is also not good. The regular postman is a good guy but really quite poor thing, One day when I happen to be collecting mail, he was still working at 7 plus almost 8pm. And he had 30 parcels of various sizes with him (on a scooter!) I asked him how come firstly work so late and so many parcels how to squeeze. its dangerous and he said no choice, sometimes there are too many parcels and cannot finish and try to deliver as much as possible.

Speedpost on the other hand is a pain. Unreliable, and like a bro before pointed out, don't show up and happy then show up or deliver or don't deliver and you have to go down and collect yourself. Best part is the CS is worst. Frankly, EMS is a good service, unfortunately have to use outside contractors sometimes and they just throw the packages all around. Seen it happen in front of my eye before and best part is bo chap.

But then again, people will compare to our neighbouring countries and tell you that its better here so mai KPKB. If everyday eat lobster, lobster is no more special. And anything "lesser" in taste/value means less tio bo? Pray that your parcels come and that postman/delivery guy don't cock up. Otherwise, bo pian, want to be safe, buy locally and tio chop, sliced, ker-toh and pui chu lai. :(
Re: 10watches not shipping to sgp
Go pay a visit to Speedpost / Singpost in Paya Lebar and you will know why so many issue.

Too many FT and they are using multiple sub-contractor to run the show.

I agreed EMS is so far so good.
Re: 10watches not shipping to sgp
Besides having patience and hope my item will arrive, what else can I do? Haha. Singpost, EMS, DHL, all run by foreign talents lah. Cos those are Jobs most Singaporeans don't want to do.

Totally agree with you. :) want the goodwill & confirm sure-shot items are hot in your hand, go local dealer and buy direct. :) didn't expect the delayed (and possibly lost) delivery, but it's a risk that I did consider. *shrugs* move on. :)
Re: 10watches not shipping to sgp
Just OT a bit, I have yet to buy from overseas mainky because of these concerns like llst mail, scams etc. What happens now if the mail does not arrive? Do you guys get a defund from the seller or the insurance pays or what? If the items are expensive like a watch then very heart pain no?

Finger cross bro ... hope you have good news.
Re: 10watches not shipping to sgp
I guess Signpost backlog is getting worse day by day , that's why i guess that is one of the reason they have resume back to Saturday delivery , serious manpower shortage is also a immediate issues for them ,

My family experience on foreign package via ta-q-bin , FedEx , EMS is all good , never lose a package before . But of course not watch , I once had a watch package sending in from Belarus via EMS , very fast , zhun zhun 7 day arrived at my doorway.

Re: 10watches not shipping to sgp
I need to ask one question, also regarding postage but the other way round.

When we send a watch to Hong Kong and state the cost of the watch as US$350, will the recipient be taxed?

that's my guess too, but SingPost counter staff seemed to say otherwise, i did mention Hong Kong....

The staff told me, if under declare like US$150 no tax but no insurance also....declare actual amount got tax?

and insured package is cheaper at $39 and no insurance at $68!

Very confusing....anyway, I decided not to go through the trouble.

Haha. Make no sense that insured is cheaper. I think the postal office people also half bucket full.

I believe HK is tax free unlike Singapore after we implement GST.
