Need help… Steinhart Ocean One quickset date dead...
Hi guys,

It's been a long while since I dropped by… partly due to overwhelming work load and partly avoiding the poison here….

I need some advice, today realized the quickset date function of my Ocean One which was purchased directly from Steinhart website somewhere in Mar 2013 is faulty… How do I go about claiming the warranty and what will the procedure be like?

Thanks… :(
Re: Need help… Steinhart Ocean One quickset date dead...
Email them lor. Maybe can propose to them to allow you to fix at Mr Goh and claim from them.
Re: Need help… Steinhart Ocean One quickset date dead...
Cannot take back to gnomon watches?
Re: Need help… Steinhart Ocean One quickset date dead...
Can try. Not sure will be more expensive. Local repair during warranty needs to be authorised and there is a cap amount.

If not then send back but have wait
Re: Need help… Steinhart Ocean One quickset date dead...
If you bought direct from Steinhart, email and liase with them. Gnomon will show you the door, don't waste your time unless its a set from them.) Work from there. If got approval from Steinhart, can ask local watchmaker to do. Not sure about shipping wise who pays etc... even under warranty. Most important, stay clam and relax!

Be patient when it comes to their CS. The Europeans in general, seem to be from another planet when it comes to reply. They will get back to you with a solution, just that we live in a world today that expects quicker response times and understandably so. I have yet to see a case where under warranty, Steinhart Bo hue. Timing/pace wise, that I cannot comment. :D have seen some people call because they bei tahan the pace to deal with the problem but eventually all works out.

Hi guys,

Firstly thank you all for the valuable advice and concerns.

Finally gotten a email reply from steinhart and I was given their FedEx account no which means I need not pay for the return shipping. However there was mention of custom duties which is a bit ambiguous hence hoping if some experienced Bros here could advise.

Also how should I proceed to engage FedEx? Do I need to drop by their service counter or such?

Sorry first timer here...
Re: Need help… Steinhart Ocean One quickset date dead...
Although sending back to Germany without hv to pay a single cent can be one of the perks with Steinhart... shipping back to SG is often the troublesome part.

Hopefully u had kept ur receipt well, and be able to produce it to FedEx again to shun away from getting taxed again.

I should still have the receipt cause I been cultivating the habit of keeping the individual receipts in their respective box since day 1. So in another words, sending to Germany I don't have to worry about getting taxed? Only when the watch returns to me then I have to produce the original receipt?

How do I proceed to engage FedEx? Give them a call to arrange for pickup or got to go down their service counter?
