Which sub $800 dress watch?

Looking to add my first gold dress watch, plated of course at this price to my rotation. Narrowed down my choices to two, Seiko SARB066 and Tissot leloc..









Which is the better choice? Considering presentation, price, quality, aesthetics etc..



Any better choice for less than $800?

IMHO, I prefer the better choice is the SEIKO.

The ROMAN 12 & 6 is just too loud on the SEIKO dial. Even with the "sunburst" lines... the 2 characters is too eye catchy.

The TISSOT LeLocle crystal glass is flat. Should it be slightly domed, the looks can tahan more longer. Anyway, it's still vintage looking.



I suggest that you look around, ask the price around. Top up slightly more...



...go for the Visiodate.



More vintage looking.



But of course, often mistaken as Bambino from far... unless WIS put their focus on the 50/60s logo as well as the big window of the date.

Hmm the visodate in gold is actually well within budget after discount. Love the vintage look, but the day date makes me hesitant, if just date I on.

i will prefer a Seiko but between this 2 only, I will choose the Tissot for its design

hmm apparently while i was still undecided, my wife went and bought me the Tissot Leloc in gold..... :o

Very good wife, very nice watch. If still can choose between the 2, it will be the Seiko for me as I prefer the sunburst dial.

Very nice, more under the radar compared to the 066...though I think I prefer the 6R15 which I feel is superior to the 2824-2.
